2 Cards - 1 Stamp Set

Tuesday, July 28, 2020

Hi friends. I have two cards to share with you today using the same set from Altenew, Weekend Doodles.

As you will see by my cards, this set lends itself to completely different styles of cards.

For my first card, I started by taking the large floral cluster and stamping it along with one of the sentiments from the set using some black ink.

I then used my Karin BrushMarkers Pro to color in the flowers and leaves, quite simply.  These markers blend beautifully.

Of course I got a couple of ink smudges on my panel so I took the opportunity to add some pretty blue gems. :)

For my second card, I started by taking the Slimline Scallop die from Whimsy Stamps and running it through using the Broken Glass Specialty Papers from Tonic Studios.

I then took another one of the sentiments in the Weekend Doodles set and stamped it 3 times in the middle of each open spot.

I then stamped and die cut the detail leafy wreath image, also from the Weekend Doodles set, 3 times and added it with foam tape to each of the open circles.

I finished off the card by adding some fun heart clay bits from Honey Bee Stamps.

Thanks for visiting today. I hope you are doing well. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

2 Cards with Altenew Washi Tape

Friday, November 15, 2019

Hi friends. I'm back today with two easy cards featuring products from Altenew. Both cards use the gorgeous Painted Fantasy washi tape. I love the pattern to this washi tape and that it is wide enough to cover an entire card front.

For my first card, I added the You are Loved die cut which I die cut a couple of times with black card stock and then once with a lavender color, slightly offsetting them for a bit of shadow and dimension. I finished this card off with some sparkling clear sequins.

For my second card, I used the same Painted Fantasy washi tape and this time, I used the Besties stamp set from CZ Design and stamped the friend sentiment. I then took the coordinating die to die cut it out. Some twine and sparkling clear sequins finish this card off.

You are Amazing with Altenew

Monday, January 14, 2019

Happy Monday friends. I'm sharing a card today featuring great standalone dies from Altenew. I started by die cutting the Watercolor Stripes die with some white card stock. I adhered it to my white card base and then rounded the corners using my Corner Chomper.

I then stamped the sentiment using my Misti to make sure I had good coverage. It was then time to start die cutting the various dies from Altenew's gorgeous Peony Dreams die collection. I die cut the various pieces in varying shades of pinks, reds and greens.

I adhered the flowers together and added one of the blooms with foam tape for added dimension and that is it for this card.

I hope you all have an amazing day. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Crafty hugs!

To you from Me with Altenew & Concord & 9th

Saturday, January 5, 2019

Hi friends. I'm back today with a fun card featuring layering stencils from Altenew along with a great stamp set from Concord & 9th.

I started out by using my ink blending tool to stencil some inks over the Layered Dahlia B stencil first in lighter colors. I then added the Layered Dahlia A stencil over top lining them up (which was super easy to do) and then used darker shades of inks.

I stamped the sentiment from Concord & 9th's Love Notes stamp set with black ink using my Misti to stamp it 3 times to get a really great impression.  I finished off the card by adding some sparkling clear sequins with some silver stickles in the centers of each.

I also stamped a coordinating envelope using the row of heart images from the same Concord & 9th Love Notes set for a finishing touch.

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you've left inspired. Crafty hugs!

You are Amazing with Altenew

Tuesday, October 2, 2018

I'm back today with a heat embossed CAS card using Altenew products. I started by white heat embossing the beautiful image from the Sketchy Floral stamp set. I love the size of this image and that it covers basically the entire card panel. It makes it so easy to create a quick and easy card.

After my image was embossed, I got to work with a couple shades of Distress inks to blend over it.

Once that was complete, I added the panel to a layer of black card stock to help it pop and to tie in the sentiment that I white heat embossed onto black card stock.

Some pretty jewels finish off this card. Thanks for dropping by today. Crafty hugs!

Just Because with Altenew

Friday, April 27, 2018

I was recently asked to teach a card class for our women's group at church and this is one of the cards I came up with.

I love all the layered floral stamp sets from Altenew and this Build-a-Flower Chrysanthemum is near the top of my list.

I started by stamping each of the layers of both the flower and the leaf and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. The sentiment is from another Altenew set.

I added the elements to my card and then trimmed down the right side just a bit so that my card would still fit into a regular A2 envelope. Rounded corners finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Crafty hugs!

Happy Heart Day for TupeloDesignsLLC

Tuesday, February 6, 2018

Hi friends. I've got a quick and easy card to share with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC that features stamps and dies from Altenew and Lawn Fawn.

I started by die cutting both the Layered Kaleidoscope Cover Plate A and B dies from Altenew in shades of aqua card stock.

I then stamped one of the banner images from Lawn Fawn's Bannertastic set and die cut it out with the coordinating dies. The sentiment is from the newly released Sweet Friends set from Lawn Fawn.

I finished off the card with some heart sprinkles from Doodlebug.  Thanks for visiting. Crafty hugs!

Hello Birthday Girl with Altenew

Wednesday, January 3, 2018

Hi friends. I have a fun birthday card to share with you today featuring some fun stamps from Altenew.  I started by stamping the large background image from Altenew's Pattern Play - Hexagon stamp set using my Misti.  I then took the smaller image and lined it up in my Misti to stamp inside the hexagons. Rather than move this stamp each time, I just moved my paper over in my Misti and lined it up.

After the background was complete, I stamped the fun sentiments from the Halftone Hello stamp set.  I die cut the panel with a stitched die and added some clear confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.

And there you have it. Thanks for visiting!

So grateful for you for TupeloDesignsLLC

Thursday, November 23, 2017

I want to wish all my friends celebrating a very  happy Thanksgiving. I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful day.

My card today is for TupeloDesignsLLC and it features the gorgeous With Gratitude stamp set from Altenew.  I started by stamping the outline images onto my white linen card base. I then stamped the insides of the leaves. I love how each leaf has two sets for the inside so you can get a two tone effect.

After my leaves were done, I stamped the sentiment which is from the same stamp set. I then decided to add a bit of gold Gilding Flakes. I used some from Tonic Studios but there are many options available here.  I started by laying down a strip of 1/4 inch Scor Tape.  I then sprinkled the flakes over top the exposed adhesive and then used a brush to wipe away any extra flakes. These flakes do like to spread but a Swiffer cloth will keep your desk nice and tidy.

Thanks for visiting. Crafty hugs!

2 Altenew Cards for TupeloDesignsLLC

Tuesday, October 31, 2017

Welcome friends. I am sharing two cards with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC. On both cards, I've used the beautiful Doodled Lace Cover die from Altenew. I love all the intricate details and of course the beautiful stitching that it gives.

For my first card, I die cut the Doodled Lace Cover die from some kraft card stock. I then adhered it to some cream colored card stock. I then die cut the sentiment from the Inline Alpha die set a few times with cream card stock and then once with black card stock so I could get a dimensional die cut sentiment.

For my second card, I am once again using the Doodled Lace Cover die. Although this time, I die cut it with white card stock and adhered it onto a kraft card base.

I stamped my sentiment from Altenew's Halftone Everything stamp set and then used the coordinating die to cut it out. Some black enamel dots finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by. You will find direct links to TupeloDesignsLLC for all the products I used on today's cards below. Thanks for visiting!

Layered Floral Dies with Altenew

Monday, June 26, 2017

Welcome friends. I know we are way past Mother's Day but I wanted to share this card with you as really, the main focus is on the gorgeous dies from Altenew.

I started by die cutting both the Layered Floral A and the Layered Floral B dies, both from Altenew in varying shades of pink card stock.

I then layered these onto my dark pink card stock base using some liquid adhesive. To finish off the card, I added my sentiment that I popped up with some foam tape.

I absolutely love these dies and the gorgeous cards that you can create in just minutes.

DT Projects for TupeloDesignsLLC

Thursday, February 16, 2017

Hi friends - thanks so much for stopping by today. I have two cards to share with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC.

For my first card, I started by die cutting the Chevron Segments Cover-up die from MFT with red, coral and gold card stock. To adhere all the pieces, I added adhesive liberally to cover the card front taking care not to get any on the outside 1/8th of an inch or so. This made it really easy to add everything back in like a puzzle.

I then heat embossed some of the images using gold embossing powder from Altenew's Hennah Elements stamp set. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

For my second card, I took some of the other pieces that were left over from the Chevron Segments Cover-up die.  I then stamped and die cut the flowers which are from Altenew's Dahlia Blossoms set. A die cut sentiment and sequins finish off the card.
