2 Cards - 1 Stamp Set

Tuesday, July 28, 2020

Hi friends. I have two cards to share with you today using the same set from Altenew, Weekend Doodles.

As you will see by my cards, this set lends itself to completely different styles of cards.

For my first card, I started by taking the large floral cluster and stamping it along with one of the sentiments from the set using some black ink.

I then used my Karin BrushMarkers Pro to color in the flowers and leaves, quite simply.  These markers blend beautifully.

Of course I got a couple of ink smudges on my panel so I took the opportunity to add some pretty blue gems. :)

For my second card, I started by taking the Slimline Scallop die from Whimsy Stamps and running it through using the Broken Glass Specialty Papers from Tonic Studios.

I then took another one of the sentiments in the Weekend Doodles set and stamped it 3 times in the middle of each open spot.

I then stamped and die cut the detail leafy wreath image, also from the Weekend Doodles set, 3 times and added it with foam tape to each of the open circles.

I finished off the card by adding some fun heart clay bits from Honey Bee Stamps.

Thanks for visiting today. I hope you are doing well. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
