Well, it's the last week of the second year of Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge.  Can you believe she's been doing these challenges for that long?

I don't know about you but all my Christmas cards are made for 2010.  Woo Hoo!  This week's challenge is a sketch challenge, created by the fabulous Peggy, which can be seen here

I used one of my RAK images from Sparkle and just love the way Bella looks in pink.  I added stickles to her dress to make her nice and sparkly.

Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge #50

Sunday, November 14, 2010

Good morning.  Another week has come and gone and it's time for this week's challenge at Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenges.  This week's add-on challenge is to make a shaped card.  I've been wanting to try making a shaped card with my nesties for some time now so this gave me just the push I needed.
***Supplies***
Stamps:  Stampin Bella, PTI
Other:  Nesties, PTI buttons

So the game was good yesterday.  I bundled up pretty good with lots of layers so that helped a ton with the snow and cold.  Plus, BYU killed CSU.  It was fun to see them play so well and to hang with my family.

Unscripted Sketches #79 -- Sending Holiday Cheer

Saturday, October 30, 2010

Happy Saturday to you.  Are you ready for another fantastic sketch from Unscripted Sketches?  I made another Christmas card.  At this point, I think I have enough Christmas cards to send in another month but it always seems that my list grows after my initial list, so I'll keep making them.

***Supplies***
Stamps:  Stamping Bella, PTI

Other:  Nesties, Cuttlebug, gems from my stash, PTI button, CTMH waxy flax

What are you all doing for Halloween?  We'll be going to a church activity tonight and then let the kids do a bit of trick-or-treating Sunday night.  Christopher is Captain Rex from Star Wars and Reynna is a zombie princess.  I'll post pictures later of them in their costumes.

Thanks so much for your visit.  I hope you have a very wonderful day.

Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a blog hop for Unscripted Sketches

Saturday, October 16, 2010

Good morning to you.  We're having a special blog hop at Unscripted Sketches celebrating breast cancer awareness month.  Comment on this post by Tuesday October 19th for a chance at some blog candy.  I'll be back later with a picture but included will be some Spellbinders nestabilities and other fun embellishments.

If you've come from Becky's blog, you're on the right track.  If not, click over to Unscripted Sketches to start at the beginning of the hop.  If you get lost along the way or find any broken links, Unscripted has an entire list of hoppers.

As always, we've got a great sketch for you to use this week and a piggyback challenge as well which is to use PINK.  If you know me, then you know that I absolutely adore the color pink, so making this card was a lot of fun.

First, here's the sketch.
Now, here's my card with lots of pink yumminess.

Unscripted Sketches #73

Saturday, September 18, 2010

Hi.  I'm so glad to be back from Las Vegas.  It was a good time and I did learn a lot at my training but I missed my family and don't like waiting around airports.

It's time for another great sketch at Unscripted Sketches this week.  It's a super fun sketch and I hope you'll get a chance to play along with us this week.

I chose to make a Christmas card with this super cute image that Sparkle sent me.

***Supplies***

Stamps: Stampin' Bella, CTMH Say it in Style
Other:  PTI die and button

Our Saturday will consist of watching Christopher play soccer and then watching college football.  Go Cougars!  I suppose I also need to fit in a bit of laundry too.  :)  I hope you all have a great day!

I have to confess that I love border punches.  They give such a wonderful look and are so easy to use.

Unscripted Sketches #57

Saturday, May 29, 2010

Happy Saturday to you.  I'm especially happy that it's the start of a 3-day weekend for me.  Can you believe I haven't had a day off of work (except for the day I took off to study in February) in almost 5 months?  Such a long stretch without any holidays.  Anyway, enough of that and onto this week's sketch at Unscripted Sketches.

This card also fits the challenge at Cute Card Thursday for no patterned papers.
***Supplies***
Stamps:  Stampin' Bella

Other:  Cuttlebug, MS border punch, Prima flower

I don't think we have any big plans this weekend.  Possibly a BBQ on Monday but we'll see.  There is of course plenty of housework and laundry to be done.  I"m hoping to get some pictures printed so I can make a couple of layouts.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a terrific weekend.

Unscripted Sketches #38

Saturday, January 16, 2010

I'm having a hard time believing that it's Saturday already.  This week has gone by pretty fast.  I've got a card for you using this week's sketch from Unscripted Sketches.  Since I can't color, I chose to leave my Bella plain.  What do you think?  Dumb? Ok?  If I actually had the stamp, I probably would have paper pieced her but it was a RAK image so it's a no-go on that.
***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  PTI In Bloom

Stamps:  Stampin Bella, PTI Everyday Button Bits
Other:  PTI ribbon and buttons, CTMH pearls

Thanks for your visit and I wish all of you a happy Saturday. Make sure to check out the other designers and the new look on the Unscripted blog.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper: PTI In Bloom

Stamps: Stampin Bella, CTMH Happy Birthday

Make sure and head over to Unscripted now for your chance to work with this week's sketch. You'll also want to check out all the fabulous art from the designers over there.
Do you all have any fun plans for Halloween? We'll probably be going to a church activity and then we have a party with friends tonight. I hope everyone has a safe day.
Some have asked how my studying is going. It's going okay. I've gotten a lot more done this past week than in prior weeks. 3 1/2 more weeks. I think I can, I think I can.

Unscripted Bella style

Saturday, October 10, 2009

It's Unscripted Sketches time! Yeah. There's a great sketch for you to try this week. Remember that you can really have fun with it and create whatever you would like. Make sure and go give some love to the other designers. You're in for quite a treat today.

Have a great Saturday.
I'll be getting my hair cut and highlighted today. It's been over a year since I've put any highlights in my hair so I'm looking forward to a somewhat different look. Oh, and did I mention that it snowed yesterday and last night? Snow on October 9th? Seems pretty early for me, even for crazy Colorado.

Bella friends

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

I used the OCC sketch for this fun card today. I also used the color challenge this week from The Pink Elephant, which was pink, brown, and white. The paper has glitter all over the flowers and is so pretty IRL. I think I'll be using some more of this paper real soon. I colored the RAK Bella with my CTMH markers. Bellas are so cute.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper: My Minds Eye
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Other: CTMH Buttons, paper flowers, and markers

I hope you're having a good day. We found out that Devin's grandpa passed on Saturday so he and the kids are leaving today for Idaho. Because of the timing, I wasn't able to take the time off of work. This grandpa was married to Devin's grandma who passed back in February.

A quick story about this. Christopher, my 6 year old, was saying his prayers last night. He blessed that Grandma and Grandpa would be resurrected. I thought it was so sweet. Plus it's good to know that he's paying attention to some of the things that we try and teach him. On that note, thanks for your visit and comments. They truly mean the world to me and lift me up.

A Christmas card using scraps

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

Today's card is one for two challenges. I loved Karen's weekly sketch challenge and paired it with Sparkle's weekly Christmas card challenge. This weeks extra challenge from Sparkle was to use scraps. For an extra treat this week, Sparkle is offering up a special prize for participants. I had a 6x2 piece of the striped paper and cut it down to fit my card and then cut it in half. The size of my card is a 5x5.

Now, unfortunately for me and my card, as I was coloring Bella with my CTMH markers, I slipped and colored out of the lines on the pot. I don't own any Bella images, this one was given to me, and it's my last one. So, I'll have to live with the boo-boo on this card.

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Basic Grey Wassail
Stamps: Stamping Bella, CTMH Seasonal Thoughts
Other: Buttons from CTMH, Liquid Applique

A get well card featuring Bella

Saturday, May 2, 2009

For this card, I used a new color challenge I found at Jen's Messy Studio. She chose the colors crystal blue, desert sand, bamboo, and outdoor denim. This is also my takes on CPS' sketch this week. I used another Bella image that a kind person sent me. I love coloring this bella, I think because of the blanket/bedspread. I don't have anyone to give this to at the moment, which I suppose is a good thing, but wanted to have a get well type of card on hand, for when it's needed. I decided to scissor distress the focal image along with the blue card front that I ran through my cuttlebug machine. I also pop dotted Bella for a little more depth.
