Christmas Card Challenges #41 -- Snowmen

It's time for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  This week, our optional challenge, in addition to making a holiday or Christmas card, is to use snowmen. 

I had found this super cute embossing folder at my LSS.  It sure does make for a quick and easy card.

Christmas Card Challenges #34 -- Snowflakes

Happy Sunday to you. There's another great challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. This week, our optional challenge, in addition to making a holiday or Christmas card, is to use snowflakes.

I used a couple of sets from PTI for my card. I absolutely adore the font on the sentiment.  All of the snowflakes except the large one were stamped off one time for a lighter color

Christmas Card Challenges #30 -- Inspiration Photo

There's a great photo this week at Christmas Card Challenges to help get you inspired when making a holiday or Christmas card.

When I first looked at this picture, the red and white jumped out at me so that's where I drew my inspiration from. I do have to admit that the button came about because some adhesive made a smudge mark.  Now that I look at it, I love the button there, so yeah for my oops with the adhesive.

Wonderful Friend

Happy Friday friends.  I hope you've had a good week.  My card today is a simple one, shocker I know.  I stamped my cluster of flowers first with Sweet Blush, then with Melon Berry and then with Raspberry Fizz.  I'm having a great time with this set and need to experiment with other color combos.

Christmas Card Challenges #24 -- Color Combo

Thanks for visiting today. Today's card is for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  Our optional challenge this week is a fun one -- a color combo of teal, brown and cream.  

I love this color combo and definitely want to use it again -- so striking, I think.

Christmas Card Challenges #5

Well another week has gone by and it's time for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  What do you think?  Will you stop making Christmas cards now that Christmas 2012 is officially over or will you join me and the team in making Christmas cards all year round? 

Our optional challenge this week is to use paint on your cards.  I confess, I don't have any paint.  So I cheated and brushed my white ink pad around my card front. 

Isn't this lovely wreath die from MFT to die for?  I just love it and it makes it so easy to create such a lovely card without much effort.

Christmas Card Challenges #2 -- To Die For

It's Sunday again which means there's a new challenge up at Christmas Card Challenges.  This week, our optional challenge is To Die For -- we want you to use your dies on your holiday or Christmas card. 

I chose to use 2 coordinating dies from PTI to frame my sentiment.

Christmas Card Challenge #51 -- Double Embossing

Good morning friends. It's time for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. This week's optional challenge, in addition to making a holiday or Christmas card, is double embossing.

I chose to interpret this as using 2 different embossing folders. I used a combo of kraft and scarlet jewel for my card and I love how it turned out.

Dear, dear Friend

Another card with this pink, aqua and brown color scheme. Although, this time I've added in some kraft for good measure.  With that, this card fits this week's challenge at CAS-ual Fridays which is to use kraft.

It also fits the current challenge at A Passion for Papertrey which is to make a card for a friend.

I had a quick minute and thought I'd play along with this week's challenge at CAS-ual Fridays which is embossing. I love the look of embossing and I love CAS cards so it's a perfect match. 

It also fits this week's 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge.  This card took me just over 7 minutes.

Christmas Card Challenges #36

It's time for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. Can you believe we are into August already?  This week's optional challenge in addition to making a holiday or Christmas card is to use something new.  Remember though, that the only real rule to play along is to make a holiday or Christmas card.

My card today is super simple.  I wanted to use this embossing folder that I've had but didn't know how to incorporate anything else on the front of the card with it, so I didn't.

Christmas Card Challenges #30 -- Use rolled Flowers

Hi friends. We've got a fun challenge at Christmas Card Challenges today.  We want to see rolled flowers on your holiday or Christmas cards. However, if you decide that's not your cup of tea, the only real rule to play along is to make a holiday or Christmas card so that come December, you're not struggling to make all your cards at one time.

My card is definitely a non-traditional take on a Christmas card with the colors and the rolled flowers but I love how it turned out. Probably because I just adore pink and black together.  And I realized that I've used this same sentiment set from PTI on my last 3 cards. Well, it is a great set.

I pulled out this old Cuttlebug embossing folder for the paisley piece of my card.  I cut the horse and sleigh out of felt.
