Wishing you Peace, Love and Joy

Sunday, February 28, 2010

Happy Sunday to you.  I'm happy to report that my test went OK.  Not great but it could have been worse.  Now I play the waiting game.  I'm just so happy to not be studying right now.  Thank you to everyone who has been thinking of me and for their prayers and happy thoughts.  I hope to report in a few weeks that I am a CPA.  If not, I'll try again.  2010 is definitely my year for this.

Now, after several weeks out of my craft room, I was itching to get back down there but also scared that I wouldn't remember how to craft.  LOL.  In the end, I am tickled "pink" with my card.
After uploading the picture onto here, I noticed that my bow got all crazy.  That's fixed now.
Here's the challenges this card fits.

A big Thank you and Look what I'm Getting!!!

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

So, today I turned 36.  Or as I told somebody, 26 (with a pause) plus 10.  :)  First, thank you to all my blogging friends who sent birthday cards. They are all so gorgeous and I'm proudly displaying them. I just love getting handmade cards.

Second, look what I'm getting. "Hubby" bought it from Ebay for my birthday. It should be here soon.  What a great hubby he is.  He knew just what I wanted and I didn't have to drop any hints or coerce him at all.  LOL.

I'm super excited for it to come and cannot wait to link up my cartridges and start playing!!!!!

So the big day is in 3 days.  Really, only 2 after today is over.  I am SO over studying and staying late at work to study and getting to work early to study.  I'll say my mantra again.  I think I can, I think I can.

I miss all of you so much and can't wait to get back to some hopefully regular posting and commenting.

Celebrate Today

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Happy Wednesday to you.  It's time for another challenge at Penny's challenge.  This week's theme is an easy one--make a birthday card, layout or other project.  And how fun that so many participated in the last challenge.

I love the cupcake from this set.  Super yummy.  I also decided to use one of my favorite color combos, pink and brown.  More yumminess.

***Supplies***
Patterned paper:  Unknown

Stamps:  PTI Cupcake Collection
Other:  CTMH button, MS border punch

I hope you'll take part in this challenge.  Be sure to check out the other designers as you're sure to love what they've come up with for this challenge.  You can access them from the challenge blog site or on my sidebar.

Thanks for your visit and comments.  I'm still plugging away with my studying.  I hope you have a great Wednesday.  Best wishes to you, friends.

Unscripted Sketches #42

Saturday, February 13, 2010

Can you believe I've been away for a whole week already?  I'm so sad.  Only 2 more weeks to go.  It's Saturday so it's time for another sketch from Unscripted Sketches.  I decided to make a Christmas card for this one in the non-traditional pink.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  My Minds Eye

Stamps:  CTMH Holiday Trinkets
Other:  Adhesive gems, CTMH floss, Nesties
So do you have any big plans for the Valentine's weekend?  I'm not sure what we are doing.  I think we might celebrate more in March after my exam.  In any event, I hope that your weekend is absolutely fabulous and as always, thanks for the visit.

Unscripted Sketches #41

Saturday, February 6, 2010

Well, another work week is behind us and it's time for another sketch at Unscripted Sketches.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  CTMH More to Adore

Stamps:  RAK image
Other: Cuttlebug, CTMH crocheted flower and markers, Fiskars border punch

So Devin is in charge of the Winter Ball at his school tonight.  Yesterday, they found out that all the snowflake decorations that had been ordered never got processed.  So several hours later, armed with a Cricut and paper, we had hundreds of snowflakes.  It was a crazy long process but man, I love that machine.  It really saved the day for the dance tonight.  Unfortunately, that meant I couldn't study last night after all so I've got a lot to do today.

Thanks for the visit and all the good luck wishes for my next exam.  The big day is officially in 3 weeks minus 1 day.  SCARY.

I hope that you all have a fabulous Saturday and if you have time, come join us over at Unscripted Sketches.

Where there is love

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Happy Wednesday to you.  It's time for another challenge over at Penny's challenge blog.  The theme this week is love or Valentines.  You'll want to head over to see what the other design team members came up with.

I chose to let a die cut from My Minds Eye that I've had for awhile be my focal point.  It didn't photograph well but the base of my card is a light pink color.
***Supplies***
Other:  Cuttlebug, Diecuts from MME, MS border punch, CTMH ribbon

I mentioned earlier that my next exam is scheduled for late this month.  Can you guess what's coming?  Yep.  I've got to step away from most blogging activities until then.  I've got posts for my design teams but that's about it.  I probably won't get to visit you very often until then so don't think that I'm ignoring you and your fabulous blog.  I just have to once again make my exam top priority.  I've been staying after work to get in some good studying time without homelife interruptions so that's good.  Makes for very long days but it won't last forever.  At least that's what I keep telling myself.  Someday this nightmare will all be over.

On that note, thanks for the visit.  I hope that wherever you are, that you're having a good day.  Best wishes to you and I'll see you back here on Saturday for an Unscripted Sketches card.
