CFC172 - Color Challenge

Thursday, April 20, 2017

Happy Friday friends. I have a fun and bright card to share with you today so you might want to get out your sunglasses. :)  There's a fun color challenge for the newest challenge at CAS-ual Fridays - use pink, white and navy.  Make sure to read to the end for a fun coupon code I have to share with my readers now.

I started by stamping a couple of the images from the Lovely stamp set with some hot pink ink onto my card panel. I then die cut the Love Ya die several times from white card stock and adhered them together for a dimensional die cut sentiment. I added my card panel onto a piece of dark blue card stock.  I added shimmer to my die cut (although you can't tell in the photo, sequins and some foam tape to give the whole card panel a bit of extra dimension.

Click here to see what my teammates came up with for this challenge and for your chance to win up to a $50 gift certificate to CAS-ual Fridays.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Crafty hugs!

DT Project for TupeloDesignsLLC - Love & Hugs

Tuesday, April 11, 2017

Hi friends. I had to pull out my Distress Oxide inks again for this card for TupeloDesignsLLC. Once again, I am using the I used Broken China, Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet and Cracked Pistachio inks. My daughter said this card looked like cotton candy. :)

After I did my background my blending on the various inks and then spritzing it with water, I let it dry and then stamped my sentiments from Neat and Tangled's Love Notes stamp set. I love the bold font.

I then added some Nuvo Glitter drops. I kind of got carried away and am wishing that I hadn't added so many but they are there for the long haul. :)

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having an amazing day!

DT Projects for TupeloDesignsLLC

Tuesday, February 14, 2017

Welcome friends and happy Valentine's Day. I have two cards to share with you for TupeloDesignsLLC and they both use the beautiful Floral Heart image from Neat & Tangled.

Have you seen all the incredible new goodies that Dan has added to the store? Lots of new products from Concord & 9th, Neat & Tangled, MFT, Prima and much more. And don't forget about FREE shipping in the USA with no minimum purchase required - you simply cannot beat that.

For my first card, I started by doing some distress ink blending onto my card stock. I then heat embossed the sentiment from Avery Elle's Favorite Person stamp set. with Silver Super Fine Detail embossing powder from Ranger.  I then heat embossed the heart image from the Floral Heart set using the same embossing powder. I then used the coordinating dies to cut the heart out. I love that the dies allow you to cut the outside and inside of the heart out if you wish. I added it with some foam tape to the card panel.

For my second card, I stamped the Floral Heart image onto some white card stock with MFT's Black Licorice Hybrid ink pad.  I then colored the image with my Copic markers. I added some patterned paper from Lawn Fawn on the left side and trimmed down my card panel. I added it with foam tape, added a stamped sentiment and sequins and the card is finished.

Sending you Love & Hugs

Happy Monday friends. I have a card to share today that I made a few of to send out for Valentine's Day.

I started by using my Clarity stencil brushes to blend on some red ink using the heart stencil. I then took the entire panel and spritzed it with some glitter spray. I stamped the sentiments and then die cut the panel with my Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die. Some red heart enamel shapes finish off the card.

2 Cards for TupeloDesignsLLC

Thursday, January 19, 2017

Welcome friends. I have two cards to share with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC. On both cards, I am using the Fluttering Hearts Cover-Up die from MFT in different ways as I often like to do. I also wanted to mention that this die is currently on sale in the store with a discount of more than $5.

There is a great sale going on in the Valentine's Day category,  some products up to 40% off. Click here to see all of those. The die I am using today is part of that sale.

Remember about the giant birthday sale going on over at TupeloDesignsLLC where you get the presents. Click here for all the details.

And if that weren't enough, Dan already has listed several of the new products that will be debuting at CHA later this week. You can pre-order them now.

For my first card, I die cut the Fluttering Hearts Cover-Up die with white card stock. I then added liquid glue to the back of the panel making sure not to get any on the back of the hearts. I added it to my card panel and then popped up each of the heart pieces on either side with my finger.

I then stamped the sentiment which is from Concord & 9th's Brushed Blossom stamp set in Versafine Black Onyx Ink. I popped this up with foam tape.

For my second card today, I started by die cutting the same Fluttering Hearts Cover-Up die from MFT. After it was die cut, I immediately covered the back with adhesive and then adhered it to some fun foam. This way, all of my hearts will stay flat and just add some nice interest for the background.

I stamped the sentiment from Altenew's Halftone Hello stamp set and then used the coordinating die to cut it out. The supporting sentiment is from the same stamp set. I popped the hello die cut up with some small pieces of Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape.

Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you are having a fabulous week. Crafty hugs!

You are Loved for Clearly Whimsy Stamps

Wednesday, January 18, 2017

Happy Wednesday friends. I have a card to share with you today for Whimsy Stamps using some of the new products released last week.

I wanted to use the fun new Valentine Assortment Sequin mix so I thought a shaker card was in order. I did want to point out that the price point on this fun new product is only $2.50 - what a steal!

I first started by taking the largest two dies from the Hand stitched Nested Rectangle Dies and ran them through my Big Shot together to create my frame for the shaker card. I love the fun stitching detail that these dies provide. I did decide to use a light grey card stock for both the frame and the card panel for something different.

I set that aside and stamped on the front of my card base using the fabulous You Are stamp set. Don't you just love the font of the loved portion of the sentiment?  I stamped three red hearts around the sentiment from the same You Are set.

I then adhered acetate to the back of my frame and then filled the card with lots of the Valentine Sequin Assortment mix. I did want to mention that before I added the frame to my card panel, I took my anti-static powder tool and ran it around all of the sides of the foam tape so that the sequins wouldn't get stuck to the sides of the card.

Thanks so much for visiting. Crafty hugs!
