2 for 1 Cards using Alcohol Lift Ink

Monday, September 16, 2019

Hi friends. I'm happy to be back sharing two cards I made awhile back using the Alcohol Lift Ink from Ranger.  I love using this product as it allows you to get two cards for one.

For my first card, I started by taking a piece of Yupo paper and added various shades of blue alcohol inks onto it.  After it was dry, I stamped the gorgeous large floral cluster from the Glorious Bouquet set from Tim Holtz onto the panel using my Misti and the Alcohol Lift Ink.

I then took a piece of paper towel and very carefully blotted the panel.  After most of the ink was up, I took the paper towel and went in tiny circles to buff the image a bit.

This card was finished with a stamped sentiment from the same set. I also added a few gems.

For my second card, after I was done stamping my first card, I took a piece of white card stock and stamped the image again. What you see below is all of the alcohol ink that the Lift Off ink removed from the Yupo paper above.

Aren't the results incredible? I just love it so much.

I decided I wanted a bit of bold color on either side of my stamped panel so I took an ink pad and took it directly to the card base on either side to build up some deep color.

I stamped the sentiment and added some clear sequins on this card.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you've been inspired. Crafty hugs!

2 Snowflake cards for TupeloDesignsLLC

Tuesday, January 23, 2018

Hi friends. I have two cards today for TupeloDesignsLLC. Before I get to my cards, I wanted to let you know that the store is still having its birthday sale throughout the rest of this month. Click here for all the details, savings and gifts that you can earn.

On both cards today, I used the gorgeous Swirly Snowflakes and the Mini Swirly Snowflakes from Tim Holtz. With both of these sets, you get 6 snowflakes in 3 sizes each.

For my first card, I heat embossed the same snowflake in all 3 of the sizes. I then used Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac and ink blended the backgrounds. I finished off the card with a heat embossed sentiment from an older MFT set.

For my second card, I die cut my ink blended panel with MFT's Stitched Mod Rectangle Stax Die-namics. I added some water droplets with my Tim Holtz Spritzer and then stamped the large snowflake.

My card uses the beautiful Mini Bouquet stamp set from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous.  I also die cut each of the panels using the largest die from Lawn Fawn's Small Dotted Rectangle Stackables die collection.

I used Distress inks in Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Shaded Lilac for the blended background.

And for my US friends, you always get FREE shipping in the US with no minimum purchase.

Now, onto the cards.  For both cards, I am using the beautiful Flutter stamp set from Tim Holtz. And while I didn't use them on today's cards, Sizzix has just released coordinating dies for this set that are available for pre-order now from TupeloDesignsLLC.

For my first card, I started by stamping one of the butterfly images from the Flutter stamp set 4 times in varying shades of orange and yellow ink to create an ombre effect. I stamped a sentiment from MFT's More Essential Sentiments and added my focal pattern to the Black & White Basics Paper Pack from MFT. I rounded the corners and this CAS card is done.

For my second card, I arranged several of the butterfly images onto my Misti and white heat embossed them. I then used various shades of Distress Inks to do some emboss resist. I stamped the sentiments from the WPlus9 That is All stamp set and also used the coordinating dies to cut out the larger sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting today friends. Crafty hugs!

Welcome friends. My card today is for TupeloDesignsLLC and would make a great card for the coffee loving men in your life. I am using two cling rubber stamp sets today from Tim Holtz.

I started by stamping one of the images from Brushstrokes stamp set in some brown ink. I then stamped the focal image from the Fresh Brewed Blueprint stamp set.

I have to mention that I really stay away from rubber stamps but I just couldn't resist picking these two up and I see more of these types of stamps in my future. :)

I finished the inside with a sentiment from Mint Owl Studios Coffee Craze stamp set.
