More Whimsy Stamps June Release

Monday, June 19, 2017

Happy Monday friends. I didn't get to share this card last week using the brand new Polka Dot Fun stamp set from the latest Whimsy Stamps release.

I started by stamping several of the dot images in various colors of ink. I then stamped the sentiment from the set. I added some enamel dots and a fishtail banner from the Card Builder: Many Thanks die collection.

Thanks for stopping by. Crafty hugs!

DT Project for TupeloDesignsLLC - Lawn Fawn Love

Thursday, June 1, 2017

Welcome friends. I'm sharing a fun birthday card with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC using a fun new stamp set from the latest Lawn Fawn release. Click here to see all the latest Lawn Fawn - many of the new items are marked down 20% off.  The store also just received in the latest release from Altenew. Click here to see those fun goodies. My favorite - the Halftone Hearts. Look for some inspiration soon with that set here on my blog.

Now back to my card. I first started by spreading some white embossing paste over a stencil. After it was dry, I added some green Distress inks in Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters over it. I just pounced my ink blender tool onto the dried embossing paste.

I then started my stamping and did a bit of simple masking using the new Wild for You stamp set from Lawn Fawn. As you can see, I kept it really simple with no coloring. The only thing I did was add a bit of ground with some light grey Copic markers. I popped this up with foam tape and that's all there is to it.

Big Birthday Wishes for Whimsy Stamps

Wednesday, May 24, 2017

Hi friends. My card today features the brand new Happy Birthday to You stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. I took one of the bold sentiments in the set and stamped it repeatedly in fun rainbow colors. I also stamped the tiny circle images a few times to help fill up the space and ground everything just a bit. Some bakers twine and a black mat and my card is complete.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having a wonderful day and week.

Whimsy Stamps May Release Day #3

Friday, May 19, 2017

This is my 2nd post for today. Click here or scroll down for my CAS-ual Fridays challenge card.

It's the last day for the May Whimsy Stamps release and today we are showcasing the fun Happy Birthday to You stamp set. I love all the fun sentiments in this stamp set.

I first started by taking the Butterfly Stencil and doing some ink blending over it with lots of rainbow colors. I then stamped the sentiment in the center. I decided it needed something else so I took the tiny circle images in the set and stamped those a few times.

I finished off my card by die cutting my stamped panel along with some patterned paper with the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle dies. I love how they add just the right amount of fun of detail to the card.

Whimsy Stamps May Release Day #1

Wednesday, May 17, 2017

Happy Wednesday friends. Thanks so much for stopping by today. It's day 1 of the May release for Whimsy Stamps and today, we are featuring some fun sets including the awesome For the Men stamp set. It's a great set for those somewhat difficult masculine cards.

I did want to make note that the entire release is available now so click here to see all the new goodies.

I chose to make a birthday card for my brother. I started by stamping the brother sentiment several times with various shades of blue ink. I used my Misti stamping tool for this to make this easier. After I was done stamping one line, I just simply moved my paper down or up rather than re-positioning my stamp.

I finished off the card by stamping the happy birthday sentiment from the Bold Banners stamp set. I then die cut it with the coordinating dies.

I hope you've enjoyed today's card. I'll be back tomorrow with more inspiration from the May release.

2 DT Projects for TupeloDesignsLLC- with the Triangle Turnabout stamp

Thursday, April 27, 2017

Hi friends. I have two cards to share with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC and they both use a camouflaged die cut technique along with the incredible Triangle Turnabout stamp set from Concord & 9th and a few other stamps and dies from Concord & 9th. When I saw this set sneaked, my jaw hit the floor. It is truly genius and I just want to stamp and stamp some more with it.

For my first card, I started by stamping the Triangle Turnabout 4 different times to create my pattern. I then die cut the large hugs die from the Cuddles & Hugs die collection from Concord & & 9th directly into my patterned paper. I die cut the hugs word 2 more times. I glued all of them together and added everything back into my panel. This allows for the die cut word to be lifted up.  Lastly, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Cuddles & Hugs stamp set onto some black card stock and popped it up with some black foam squares for some more dimension.

For my second card, I used the Triangle Turnabout again but this time, I just stamped it 3 times which leaves a bit more white space. I then took one of the dies from the Pretty Petals die collection, also from Concord & 9th and die cut it from my panel. I followed the same technique I did for my first card. I finished off this card by stamping my sentiment from the Concord & 9th Say Hello stamp set.

DT Project for TupeloDesignsLLC

Tuesday, April 25, 2017

Welcome friends. My card today is for TupeloDesignsLLC and would make a great card for the coffee loving men in your life. I am using two cling rubber stamp sets today from Tim Holtz.

I started by stamping one of the images from Brushstrokes stamp set in some brown ink. I then stamped the focal image from the Fresh Brewed Blueprint stamp set.

I have to mention that I really stay away from rubber stamps but I just couldn't resist picking these two up and I see more of these types of stamps in my future. :)

I finished the inside with a sentiment from Mint Owl Studios Coffee Craze stamp set.
