Floral Heart with Neat & Tangled

Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Hi friends. Thanks so much for joining me today. I have a fun card to share with you today using some goodies from Neat & Tangled.

I started by using the Hexastar cover plate die and instead of die cutting it, I ran it through my Big Shot using an embossing pad. I love that you can extend the life of your dies by using them to emboss, rather than cut.

After my panel was embossed, I die cut it using a stitched rectangle die.

I then got to work on stamping, coloring and die cutting the focal point which is from the Floral Heart set from Neat & Tangled. I love the soft feel to this image and how easy it was to color.

I die cut the wreath two more times just out of white card stock to layer behind my stamped wreath for a bit of extra dimension.  I finished off the card with some sparkling clear sequins.

Thanks for your visit. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Merry Christmas

Thursday, November 7, 2019

Hi friends. I'm super excited to share my card with you today as I absolutely love it.  I'm not sure if it is the colors or the texture or sparkle but whatever it is, I just love it.

I started out by taking the Swirly Twirly stencil from Neat & Tangled and adding some Nuvo Moonstone Glitter Paste over it.  I then set it aside to dry.

I stamped the merry portion of the sentiment which is from Simon Says Stamp's Stained Glass Greetings set.  I then used the coordinating dies to cut it out.  I just love the polished look this gives to the stamped sentiment.

I stamped the word Christmas, also from the Stained Glass Greetings set, onto a thin strip of white card stock.  My card was finished off with some light blue gems.

I hope you are having a terrific day. Thanks for stopping by.  Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

I Love You for TupeloDesignsLLC

Monday, March 12, 2018

Hi friends. I'm back today with another card using products available at TupeloDesignsLLC.

For my card, I started by blending on some Wilted Violet Distress Ink onto my top folding white card base.  I then die cut the Linked Circles Cover Panel die from Reverse Confetti and added it over the top. I did want to note that after I die cut the large panel die, I ran it through my Big Shot again with a stitched rectangle die from MFT.

I then die cut the love portion of the sentiment using Neat & Tangled's Love Notes die. The top portion was cut from some glitter cardstock with the outline portion die cut from vellum. I finished off the card with a white heat embossed sentiment and some sparkling clear sequins.

Thanks so much for dropping by today. Crafty hugs!

You Have a Heart of Gold

Monday, January 15, 2018

Welcome friends to my blog today where I have a CAS card to share with you today.  I started by taking some gold embossing paste and applying it over the beautiful Geometric Heart stencil from Echo Park.  After the paste was dry, I added my sentiment panel. I rounded the bottom two corners and added some fun enamel dots from the MME Yes Please collection.

And that's all there is to it. Crafty hugs!

3 cards with Neat & Tangled for TupeloDesignsLLC

Saturday, November 4, 2017

Happy Friday friends. I am happy to be sharing 3 cards with you for TupeloDesignsLLC using the beautiful You're Pretty stamp set and coordinating die. I absolutely adore the beautiful hand lettering.

Let's get started. For my first card, I started by doing some ink blending with Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress inks. I then added some embossing paste over the Flourish stencil from Tim Holtz for added texture. Now I didn't intend for the embossing paste to change colors but my ink must have still been wet as you can see that it took on a bit of purple hue. And while this is not the result I was going for, I still think it looks pretty.

I stamped and die cut the You're Pretty sentiment with some Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I added it with foam tape and then added some White Blizzard Nuvo Drops.

For my second card, I just stamped and die cut the sentiment, this time with some Rose Gold embossing powder from Lawn Fawn. I then stamped the supporting sentiment which is from the same stamp set onto some patterned paper.

For my last card, I first started by embossing the Modern Triangles cover plate die from Neat & Tangled into some white card stock. I love the texture it adds. I stamped the supporting sentiment and then added the you're pretty sentiment, again stamped and embossed using the same rose gold embossing powder as I used above. Some rose gold sequins finish off the card.

3 cards for TupeloDesignsLLC - Hooray it's Your Day

Tuesday, October 24, 2017

Happy Tuesday friends. I'm back today with 3 cards all featuring the gorgeous Hooray stamp set from Neat & Tangled for TupeloDesignsLLC.

All 3 of the cards are the same except for the backgrounds.

On the first card, I used some Color Burst powders to create the background. I used Marigold, Lemon Yellow and Cadmium Scarlet.   If you are not familiar with these, they are a highly pigmented water color powder that reacts with water. They are so fun to use and I've been having a lot of fun with them lately in my craft room. TupeloDesignsLLC has a wide assortment of colors in both individual bottles and sets of 6. Click here to see all of them.

For my second card, I did some ink blending over the Hero Arts Spiral stencil l in rainbow order.

For my last card, I added some water colors in blues and purples to some Tim Holtz watercolor card stock.

3 cards with Neat & Tangled for TupeloDesignsLLC

Friday, October 13, 2017

Welcome friends. I'm sorry it's been so quiet on my blog for the past week or so. I was out of town teaching at the Whimsy Stamps retreat in Florida and then came back and promptly came down with a nasty cold. Blech.

I have 3 cards to share with you for TupeloDesignsLLC, all using some fun products from Neat & Tangled.  All 3 cards use stencils with some sort of embossing paste along with stamped and die cut sentiments.

For my first card, I started by taking the Pentagon stencil and applied some Ranger Texture Paste over it. I then stamped and die cut the sentiments from the Love Notes stamp set and coordinating dies.

For my second card, I used the Hexastar stencil with some Bo Bunny Gold Glitter Paste. I used the Celebrate stamp set and coordinating die for the sentiment.

My last card uses the Geometric Blooms stencil with the same Bo Bunny Gold Glitter Paste and the Love Notes stamp set and coordinating dies.

DT Project for TupeloDesignsLLC

Tuesday, June 6, 2017

Happy Tuesday friends. I have a card today for TupeloDesignsLLC. If you are new to my blog or new to the store, they offer FREE shipping in the US with no minimum purchase. You can also get FREE shipping worldwide. Click here for those details.

For my card today, I started by blending on some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. I applied it to the whole panel. I then took the Bold Daisy stencil from Hero Arts and applied more of the same Picked Raspberry ink, this time making sure it was darker. The result is the panel you see below.

After the ink was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Neat & Tangled's So Lucky set. I added some Nuvo drops, which match a bit better in real life than they do in the photo.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment 'in my life' which comes from the same So Lucky set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you will check out TupeloDesignsLLC. They have so many wonderful brands to shop from.

Stenciling with Neat & Tangled

Wednesday, May 31, 2017

Welcome friends. Thanks for stopping by today. I have two cards to share with you today featuring lots of fun products from Neat & Tangled.

For my first card, I used a technique I saw Jennifer McQuire use recently where you ink up a panel with Distress inks, spritz some water on top of a stencil and then lay your wet stencil down over the inked panel. When you remove the stencil, the result is what you see below. I thought this was such a fun technique and it gives such a cool look for the background.

After I did this and the panel was dry, I stamped a sentiment from the Awesome stamp set and used the coordinating die which I also ink blended with the same 3 ink colors.

For my second card, I took the Pentagon stencil and blended on some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink concentrating it heavier in the bottom right corner. You can't tell in the photo but I then spritzed it with some shimmer glitter spray. I stamped the sentiments from the Awesome stamp set and added some Morning Dew Nuvo Drops.
