Whimsy Stamps June Release Day #1

Wednesday, June 14, 2017

Hi friends and welcome to Day 1 of the June Whimsy Stamps release. There are lots of great products available now in the store and I'll be here the next 3 days sharing some projects with you.

I am using the new Thank You Friend stamp set for both cards today. I did some ink blending and smooshing with some Distress inks on both cards. I then stamped the large sentiment and a supporting sentiment on both cards. As a finishing touch on the first card, I stamped some of the stars from the same stamp set.

For my second card, I did the same thing but this time, I took one of the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle dies and impressed them into my card panel to frame my sentiments. I then added some Summer Breeze enamel dots from Whimsy Stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Crafty hugs!

Thank you with PTI

Monday, February 6, 2017

Welcome friends and happy Monday. I haven't played with any of my PTI sets in awhile so I thought I'd pull one out. I am using the gorgeous Cutting Garden stamp set.  I started by stamping the blooms in different colors of red and pink inks. I stamped the leaves and other greenery directly onto the card base. I die cut a couple of blooms using the coordinating dies and added one with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment and then wouldn't you know, I got a smudge at the top of the card. So insert the black and white patterned paper to cover it up. :)

Thanks so much for visiting. Have an amazing day.

Thanks with Foil and Embossing

Saturday, December 31, 2016

Hi friends. I have two cards to share with you today. Before I get into the cards, I want to take just a quick moment and tell you all thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love, comments and friendships that this blog has afforded.

I truly appreciate each and every one of you and wouldn't be able to keep this blog up without each of you.  I want to wish everyone a very happy New Year's Eve and a most blessed 2017.

Now, onto my cards.  The first uses this gorgeous toner paper from Heidi Swapp. I added some teal foil on top and then ran it through my Mini Minc machine. I then die cut the thanks die cut from MFT's Twice the Thanks Die-namics twice, once with white and once with black card stock. I stamped the supporting sentiment from the Kind Thanks stamp set onto some vellum. I wrapped that around my card panel and then added the thanks die cut on top of that.

Here's a better shot of what the color actually looks like.

For my second card, I white heat embossed the PeonyGarden cling background stamp from The Ton. I then added some Abandoned Coral Distress Ink over it. I then die cut this panel with the Inside and Out Diagonal Die-namics from MFT.

I added this onto some black card stock and added it to my card base. I used the same thanks die-namics that I used on the first card and added it to the panel. I finished off the card with some Tonic White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops.

CFC161 - Be Thankful

Thursday, November 17, 2016

Hi friends. It's time for a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays and this time, the challenge is Be Thankful - make a thank you or card of gratitude. Also, make sure to read to the end where there is a coupon code to go shopping with.

For my card, I started by stamping the beautiful Curtis Background stamp onto my card panel using some light grey ink.  I then heat embossed the flowers and leaves from my most favorite CAS-ual Fridays stamp set, Pretty Posies. After they were embossed and die cut with the coordinating dies, I added some color using Distress Inks with my ink blending tools.

I stamped my sentiment onto the panel from the Lovely stamp set and then added my flowers and leaves. One of them was added with foam tape for a bit of dimension.

I hope you'll check out the challenge blog and enter your thank you cards for a chance to win up to $50 to CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Michele is having a sale over the next 12 days. Use the coupon code below to save 15% on your purchase which even includes sale items.

CFC160 - Color Challenge

Thursday, November 3, 2016

A new challenge has started at CAS-ual Fridays and it's a great color challenge where we want you to use orange, brown and kraft.  My orange came from some patterned paper and then I die cut both of the dies from the Casual Tress die set. The sentiment is from the Wheat Wreath stamp set. There is a great wreath image in the set along with lots of great sentiments that you can mix and match.

I added everything to my brown card base, added some sequins and my card is complete.

TupeloDesignsLLC DT Post using Concord & 9th - A triple play of thank you cards

Friday, October 7, 2016

Hi friends. I'm back today with more DT projects for TupeloDesignsLLC. Today, I am using the beautiful Painted Thank You stamp set from Concord & 9th on all 3 of my cards. I hope you'll find some inspiration in today's post.

For my first card, I started by doing some ink blending on some water color card stock with various Distress Inks which are listed below. I then die cut the panel with the Wonky Stitches die from Avery Elle. I then heat embossed the sentiment from the Painted Thank You set with some sparkly gold embossing powder from my stash.

I added the card panel to some gold card stock and then added everything to my card base.

For my second card, I started by heat embossing the sentiment from the Painted Thank You set onto some Neenah card stock in gold embossing powder. I also heat embossed a couple of the flower images onto my panel as well. I then die cut the panel with the Small Dotted Rectangle Stackable dies from Lawn Fawn. Some clear sequins and foam tape finish off the card.

For my last card, I blended some Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Distress inks onto my card panel. I then took my Distress Sprayer and sprayed some water droplets onto my panel. After about 30 seconds, I blotted the water up with a paper towel. I just love the look you are left with. I then heat embossed the sentiment again, although, this time in white. On this card, I also die cut the panel with the Small Dotted Rectangle Stackable dies from Lawn Fawn.
