Wishing you the Sweetest Christmas Ever

Sunday, July 24, 2016

Hi friends. I've been slacking with my Christmas cards this year and need to get my act together for sure. There is a new anything goes challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges that is running for two weeks.

I do have a card to share today using some fun products. I started by blending ink with the Peppermint Zone stencil from Winnie & Walter. I then stamped my sentiment from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set. I then stamped the cup and candy cane images from the same stamp set and added it to my card panel. I added one of the oval dies from the Oval Shadows set from MFT to ground my cup image.

Thank you so much friends for your visit today. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Hi

Friday, May 27, 2016

Hooray for Friday!  And for a 3 day weekend. Memorial Day is always my first holiday since New Years and that's a long and busy 5 months without a 3 day weekend of any kind. :)

I decided to do some ink blending on my card today. I just love these bright summery colors and the large, bold, black sentiment. I started by doing my ink blending and then I stamped the gorgeous Etched Flower background stamp from MFT using my Misti so I could make sure to get a great impression. I ran the panel through my Big Shot with the Wonky Stitches to give it just a bit of detail, although it's hard to see that in the photo. I then added the hi die cut from Winnie & Walter.

Thanks so much for visiting friends. I hope each of you has a wonderful day and weekend and if you are lucky enough to have a long weekend, then woohoo!

Mixed Media Challenge Take 2

Monday, February 15, 2016

Hello -- I'm back today with another card for this month's Mixed Media Monthly Challenge. I again used the fabulous Paper Artsy paints. This time, I used the gorgeous White Fire color.

I first started with some patterned paper that I wanted to distress and play around with. I then took a background stamp from MFT and stamped it in kraft ink. If you look close, you can see it underneath all the layers.  I then added a layer of clear Gesso. I don't know that it really did anything but I had just purchased it and thought what the heck. :)

I then took the White Fire paint and spread it over a stencil from Winnie & Walter. Once that was all dried, I die cut the panel with a die from MFT and then added the Hello die cut from Frantic Stamper in cork. Some sparkly heart enamel dots finish off the card. I should also mention that the entire card panel is popped up on fun foam for dimension.

Hi with Winnie & Walter

Saturday, December 19, 2015

Hi friends. It's day 1 of my 2 week vacation from work. To say I'm excited is an understatement. Any way, I thought I'd get a card posted his morning.

I loved this large Hi die from Winnie & Walter since the moment I saw it. I die cut it several times and layered it up over my card panel which was cut from some gold foil card stock and white.

A simple card that makes a bold statement.

Thank You

I made this card to give to my daughter's mother on the day we met a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to tell her thank you for raising such a wonderful girl, for taking such good care of her and for telling Hannah all along that she was adopted and that my daughter had another mother out there who loved her.

I originally was only going to stamp 3 flowers and then 5 and then it just grew into 9 stamped flowers, with some masking. I smeared part of the sentiment just a bit but made this the day we were leaving and had no time to redo.

I hope you are having a good Friday. Thanks for stopping by.
