Hello, Friend

Welcome friends. I have a super CAS card to share with you today. All I did was add the sentiment and some sequins. I started out by die cutting one of the pre-printed sheets from a PTI patterned paper pack. I die cut it with a stitched rectangle. I stamped the sentiment and added the panel with some fun foam onto my card base. A few sparkling clear sequins and the card is complete.

Sending Smiles Across the Miles for Whimsy Stamps

Welcome friends. My card today features a couple of fun stamp sets from Whimsy Stamps. I started by doing some ink blending on my background with Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress inks.

I then took the  Criss Cross Flowers stamp set from Whimsy Stamps and stamped it using my Misti so I could get a great impression. I then die cut this panel with the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle dies from Whimsy Stamps.  I then took a small piece of card stock and added some of the Wilted Violet distress ink onto it and then stamped a sentiment from the recently released Distant Friends set.

I also finished off the inside with another sentiment from the Distant Friends set and the cute heart image.

DT Projects for TupeloDesignsLLC

Hi friends. I'm happy to be sharing two cards with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC. They both use some Distress Inks and the super adorable Friends Furever stamp set from MFT.

For the first card, I did some ink smooshing with Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves distress inks. I smooshed some of each color onto my craft mat and then spritzed the colors with water. I then smooshed my card panel into the colors. I did this a few times, drying my paper in between.  After the panel was completely dry, I stamped the image and sentiment from the Friends Furever set.

I did the same thing on the second card, although this time I used Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron distress inks. I then stamped the same images. This time, I mounted the panel onto some black card stock and then mounted that on some black fun foam to give the entire panel some added dimension.

CFC168 - One Layer Wonder

It's time for a new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays and the current challenge is to make a card with only one layer. I am using the Sunbeams stamp set. I stamped the image and then stamped the sentiment. Rounded corners along with a few sequins and the card is complete.

DT Projects for TupeloDesignsLLC

I have two cards to share with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC, both using the Stars Above stamp set from MFT.

For both cards, I laid out my star images and sentiment and then stamped them all at once using my Misti using Black Onyx Versafine ink. On my first card, I then inked up the back sides of the star images and stamped those over the outline images. I purposely didn't line them up. The colors I used for this were Mermaid and Lobster, both from Lawn Fawn.

For my second card, I pulled out some of my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and did some simple coloring. 

And there you have it, two CAS cards, ones that could easily be mass produced if you so chose.  A big thank you for stopping by today. Crafty hugs!

Clearly Whimsy Stamps February Release Day #1

Welcome to Day 1 of the February release for Whimsy Stamps. I did want to let you know that all of the new products are available in the store now. I love how Denise doesn't make you wait. Click here to see all of the new clear and rubber stamps this month.

For my card today, I am using the super cute Purrfect Pals stamp set. These little kitties are so cute. I stamped my kitten on the left first and then masked it off and then stamped the other one. I cut a mask for the second kitty so I could do some ink smooshing and blending in the background and still keep them white.

I used Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio for my ink smooshing. This technique involves smooshing some ink onto a piece of acetate and then spritzing it with water. You then take the acetate directly to the card stock. I did dry my panel in-between colors.

Once everything was dry, I stamped the sentiment which I pieced together from several individual stamps from the Purrfect Pals set. I added a black scalloped card panel, adhered everything to my card base and then as a finishing touch, I added some of the It's a Party enamel dots (currently on sale)  available from Whimsy Stamps.

DT Project for TupeloDesignsLLC - and Mama Elephant

Welcome friends. I am so excited to share today's card with you for TupeloDesignsLLC and to announce that TupeloDesignsLLC is now carrying Mama Elephant. Click here to see the current offerings from this awesome brand. 

For my card, I started by doing some ink smooshing onto some Tim Holtz water color card stock. I used Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks.  After my ink was dry, I spritzed the entire card panel with some clear shimmer from my stash. You can't see it in the photo but in real life, it is absolutely stunning. Once the shimmer was dry, I then stamped both the large and supporting sentiment from Mama Elephant's Hello Friend Wishes stamp set.  I adore the font of this large scripty sentiment and how it fills an entire card panel.

I added black fun foam to the back of my card panel and adhered it to some black card stock. Some clear sequins and the card is complete.

DT Project for TupeloDesignsLLC

Welcome friends. My card today is for TupeloDesignsLLC and I'm using a new to me brand, Waffle Flower. TupeloDesignsLLC carries many of their products and Dan just added lots of the newest release that starts shipping this week.

I took the beautiful image from the Lacy Flower stamp set and heat embossed it in white embossing powder using this gun. I then took some Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and blended it over the embossed area. I then took my Cutter Bee Scissors and did something I hate to do - detail cut. But I wanted to highlight this image so it had to be done. I stamped my sentiment from the same set onto my card base and then added the focal image with some foam tape. Some clear sequins and rounded corners using the Corner Chomper finish off the card.
