Whimsy Stamps New Release & Inspiration

Hi everyone. I have my first card to share with you using a fun new die from the latest release at Whimsy Stamps, the Mini Slim Pickens 1 die. This die is really cool in that it doesn't have any outer cut edges. So you can die cut this from any size paper you want. 

I die cut it from a piece of patterned paper from the Fabulous Florals collection. I then trimmed down the sides so it would fit onto a mini slim card. I then die cut the die from purple card stock one time and adhered the center portions. 

 I adhered the outer frame to my card base and then used foam tape to pop up the center sections. I just love all the dimension. I then used the Bold ABC dies and die cut the word MOM. I die cut the letters a total of 3 times each so I could have a stacked sentiment. I finished off the card by adding some Aqua Shimmer Pen from Tonic to the letters. You can't really tell in the photo but in real life there's a nice bit of sparkle and shine.
