Whimsy Stamps New Release & a Trio of Cards

Tuesday, February 22, 2022

Hello friends. I'm happy to be sharing a trio of cards featuring the new Sprinkles Scallops Rectangle die set from Whimsy Stamps. This die collection has several dies in it, some of which are perfect for ATCs.

The dies come tabbed together and I decided to leave them that way for these cards. I ran them through my die cutting machine three times - once from navy card stock, once from white card stock and once from gold mirror card stock. Before I die cut them, I added adhesive sheets to the backs of each of my card stocks.

By doing this, I was able to create stickers from all the layers. For each card, I started by adhering the leaving the outer frame on top of the sticker. I then inlaid all of the other layers and since they all had adhesive on them, it was super easy to do. By leaving the outer frame on the sticker sheet, this allowed me to add foam tape to the entire layered panel. I then added all the panels to the A2 white note cards.

I then stamped t the floral images from the Flower Wishes stamp set. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then die cut them 2 more times for each card and stacked the die cuts together for dimension. I added them to the enters of my cards and then added my stamped sentiment. I finished off the cards by adding on some white pearls.

Here is some inspiration from the rest of the team using the new release.

I hope you've been inspired. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Oh wow, these are wonderful, Alanna. I love the idea of cutting with the dies before you cut them apart, and using the different cardstocks to get three looks. Adding the adhesive backing is also very smart, too. The cards look fantastic. I really like that image, too. Looks like it would be fun to color, but also looks great as is. Thanks so much for sharing, Alanna! :)
