She who Dies with the Most Stamps Wins

Sunday, March 24, 2019

Hi friends. I'm sorry it's been so quiet around here lately. Work is insanely busy and I just haven't had time or energy to keep up with everything.

For my card today, I am using the adorable Addicted to Rubber Stamps stamp set from Whimsy Stamps.  As an avid crafter and procurer of stamps and dies, this set and sentiment speak directly to my heart. :)

I first started by taking the Buffalo Plaid background stamp and inked it up using my Misti with a few colors of ink to create a nice gradual fade from pink to orange to yellow for the background.

I then took the large shirt image from the Addicted to Rubber Stamps set and stamped it using the fabulous VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink pad. I stamped the sentiment and then stamped a few hearts hear and there.

I die cut the panel with the largest die from the Card Builders Windows die collection. If you look closely, you can see the added stitching details in the top right and bottom left corner.  I matted this on some black card stock to help tie in the black stamping and the card is complete - perfect to send to a crafty friend.

Thanks for visiting. Crafty hugs!

Oh Alanna, tax season isn't a joke and this year, I'm sure it's tougher than normal with changes at your work and in the tax law. Will it settle down after April 15? I sure hope so! This card is so fun. I really like that background image with the ombre and that sentiment is just too fun! Wonderful card. Hugs to you to make it through and keep finding snippets of time to create a wee bit. Hugs!!
