Hi friends. I hope your week is going well. I'm back again today with a card for Whimsy Stamps. Today, I am featuring the fabulous Heroes set, perfect to honor police men and women and firefighters. You could even just use the sentiments for other heroes in your life that you want to honor.
I made my card today focusing on the images that are for firefighters. I thought it would be fun to drop this by our local fire station with some goodies.
For my card, I started by heat embossing the images and sentiments with white embossing powder. After my panel was heat set, I got to work by dropping in some water colors very loosely. I just wanted some color and texture on the background. I let my panel dry in between adding additional layers of ink to build up the color and to get some variation.
Once I was happy with the panel and it was completely dry, I ran it through my die cutting machine with the largest die from the Card Builder Windows die collection. I like the subtle detail of stitching this die gives in 2 of the corners.
I matted this on some black card stock to help it pop and then adhered it to my card base.
