A Floral Bouquet for Whimsy Stamps

Friday, March 15, 2019

Hi friends. I hope you are having a great week. I sat down last night and pulled out this beautiful Bouquet image from Whimsy Stamps as I decided I wanted to color. If you know me at all, you know that coloring is not something I do all that often as I am intimidated by it.

However, I really love this image and wanted to have a play with it.

I started by stamping out the Bouquet image using my Misti so I could stamp it a few times to get a nice crisp image. I then cut out a rough mask of the image so that I could stamp the Messy Mesh Background stamp over top of it.

I then removed the mask and added a bit of ink to the area that is in between the loops of the ribbon on the image so that the pattern would show there as well.

I then got to work on coloring up the image doing the best I could with adding some shading.

I finished off the card by stamping a sentiment from the Happy Sayings stamp set and matting my panel onto some black card stock to make it pop off of the card. Some enamel dots and Clear Wink of Stella on the flower blooms finish off the card.

Thanks so much for visiting today.

This is beautiful, Alanna! I think you should color more often. It looks terrific! That background stamp looks really neat, too. Great job!
