Whimsy Stamps August Release Day 2

Thursday, August 2, 2018

Hi friends. I have two cards to share with you today using a beautiful new background stamp from Whimsy Stamps from their brand new August 2018 release.

I love that Denise doesn't make you wait at all to purchase your new release goodies. All new products are available in the store NOW.

Okay, back to my cards. For both cards, I am using the Cherry Blossom Background image. This is a large 6x6 rubber background stamp.

For my first card, I stamped the image onto an A2 sized card panel. I did a bit of simple Copic coloring. I then adhered this card panel to my top folding card base. I added a sentiment from an older Whimsy Stamps set called Mother Love. Some rounded corners and a few gems finish off this card.

For my second card, I again stamped the Cherry Blossom background image onto a piece of white card stock. This time, however, I added my Copic coloring to the negative portions of the image. I used a couple shades of light blue Copic markers.

I thought this was a fun way to showcase this image. The sentiment is from a set that was released last month, Beaucoup Bouquet Sentiments. It is a great set with so many beautiful sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by today. I am currently on vacation with my husband, celebrating our upcoming 20th wedding anniversary. I've got a couple posts scheduled while I'm gone. Crafty hugs!

That is a lovely background stamp, Alanna, and you've showcased it beautifully in these two cards. I really like how you colored different aspects of them on each. So pretty. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding anniversary. I'm sure you are having a marvelous vacation! Hugs!
