I am so excited to share my card projects with you all over the next 3 days. This release is amazing and perfect for summer crafting. I have so many more ideas. For today, I have two cards to share with you today. For my first card, I used the super fun Sunburst Rectangle die as the focal point.

Hands down, this is my favorite product from the new release. I am itching to do an inlay technique with it and for some reason, I want to cut it out of lots of colors of glitter paper. :)

I started by die cutting the die using my favorite paper from the new You are my Sunshine paper pack. I adore the stripes and the fun colors.  There are a ton of great designs in the paper pack and the paper is very sturdy. It is much more substantial than most patterned papers.

Tip:  Use a metal shim with your cutting machine to get a great impression with this intricate die.

After I had run it through my machine, I added lots of small pieces of foam tape to the back of the die as I knew I wanted this panel to have some dimension. I'm not going to lie. It was a bit tedious but I love the dimension it gives.

Tip:  Remove the backing off the foam tape to make it easier to adhere, especially around the center circle.

I then took my A2 top folding card base and stamped a sentiment from the super fun Heatwave stamp set using the Raven hybrid ink. I love the mixed font of this sentiment.  This ink is new to me and I have to tell you that I love it. It is so crisp and black and since it's a hybrid formula, will be perfect for all sorts of coloring mediums.

Lastly, I adhered my die cut panel on top of my card base and this super CAS but fun card is complete.

I also have a second card to share with you today featuring the awesome Scallop Rectangle dies. I left my dies connected and each of the white panels you see below is cut from the die collection.

I adhered the outer two frames directly to my card base and then popped up the inner frame with some foam tape.  I then took the Hello Word die and die cut it 5 times for a nice substantial word embellishment.

FYI - as of July 4th, 2018, the Hello Word die is currently on sale for 50% off - just $4.99.  I've used this die twice already and am in love with it and how it has the little flowers as part of the word.

Here's a close up look of all the frames. I should note that the outside stitched line was added with a die from my stash.

And here's a closeup of the sentiment and inner frame with its dimension.

Hop along and leave a comment so you could win!
