2 cards for Whimsy Stamps

Sunday, May 20, 2018

Welcome friends. I hope your week is off to a great start. I have two cards to share with you today featuring products from Whimsy Stamps.

For my first card, I did a bit of stamping and masking over an ink blended background with some clouds using the  Fly By stamp set that was released earlier this year. I just adore the font of the sentiments included in the set along with the cute kite strings with the hearts.

I did just a bit of simple Copic coloring, stamped my sentiment and then popped my panel up with some foam tape. Some clear sequins finish off the card.

For my second card, I started by blending some brown ink over the Farmhouse Basket stencil. I lifted the stencil up a couple of times to add some variation to the pattern.

I then stamped one of the wreath images from the Farmhouse Wreaths stamp set and again, did just a bit of simple Copic coloring with various shades of green markers.

I stamped the sentiment onto some Kraft card stock and then rounded the corners and this card is complete.

Nice work, Alanna. I really like the strings on the kites, too. Those hearts are so fun. Your clouds in the sky look great! Fun font in the sentiment. The second card has that pretty wreath and a fun background with your stenciling. Looks great!

Great cards, Alanna! The kites are cool - I love the shadowing on them! I see peaks of clouds in the background, too! The second card is amazing - using just parts of the stencil like you did makes it look so fascinating! And the way the ink is light and dark and medium gives it so much interest! The wreath looks great in the many copic colors! Great card!
