March Whimsy Stamps Release Day #4

Sunday, March 4, 2018

Hi friends. I've got two cards to share with you today using new March release products from Whimsy Stamps.

For today's cards, I am using the new Shaker Maker Rectangle Dies. Don't you just love the name of that set? I wanted to do something a bit different with the set for my first card so I ran the inside portion of the die several times through a card panel until the whole front was die cut. I then added the die cut panel over a piece of rainbow colored patterned paper for a fun look peeking through.

I finished the card with a stamped sentiment which is from the Farmhouse Wreaths set and some enamel dots.

For my second card, I used the dies more how they were intended.  I die cut a frame from some patterned paper and then used the inside bits that were left over from my first card for the shaker portion.

I stamped onto the acetate with Black Stazon ink with a sentiment from the new Fly By stamp set. It's really hard to read, I know, and I should have used white but I didn't have any.  It says Congrats. I adore the fun frame with the fun stitching detail that this die gives.

These are very fun, Alanna. Bright and cheery for a birthday. And great colors and a fun shaker for graduation. Thanks for sharing! Hugs!

Cool cards! I thought the first one was foiled (a new trend I'm not ready to "jump on"). But you did it with a die cut and background - very clever!!! I had a ton of fun at a stamp show in Mesa yesterday and got just a few new things, I hope to be posting soon! It's always invigorating to learn from others at the show - not just the professionals selling their products, but the other stampers, also! Just like how I love learning from YOU!
