March Whimsy Stamps Release Day 1

Thursday, March 1, 2018

Welcome friends to Day 1 of the March 2018 release for Whimsy Stamps. All new products are available now in the store. Click here to go shopping.  I'll be sharing cards over the next few days using these new goodies.

For my first card, I am suing the fun Farmhouse Vases stamp set. I thought it would be fun to have a row of vases sitting on a counter. I stamped the vase in the middle first and then masked it off and stamped the others.  I stamped one of the small images from the set onto my vases.

I added just a bit of Copic coloring to the vases and then used C5 and C3 for my counter.  The sentiment is from the new Fly By stamp set. I finished off the card by adding some twine and a stitched rectangle for the card panel.

By the way - did you know that Whimsy Stamps is now carrying a large line of Copic sketch markers? They are listed at an awesome price. Click here to check them out.

For my second card, I am using the new Farmhouse Shiplap rubber stamp along with the new Farmhouse Wreaths stamp set.

I thought the background image could look like a door so I stamped it using some brown ink. I then stamped one of the wreath images from Farmhouse Wreaths directly onto my stamped background. I colored it in with various green Copic markers. The sentiment is from the retired Scripty Occasions stamp set.

I finished off the card by adding some red pearls to my wreath to mimic holly berries.

And there you have it. Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you'll head over to the Whimsy blog where there is a ton of inspiration using the new goodies. Crafty hugs!

Lovely CAS cards, Alanna. I really like the farmhouse feel of these cards. Great masking on the first. I'm very impressed that the background on the second card is a stamp. It really looks like a pattern paper. The wreath looks great! Have a happy day! Hugs! :)

These are both wonderful! I saved them as inspiration photos - the mason jar vases are country chic, and the Christmas card is striking with the bright red "berries". LOVE them!
