March Clearly Whimsy Stamps Release Day #3

Friday, March 17, 2017

Happy Friday friends - hooray for the weekend! It's also the final day of the March Whimsy Stamps release. I'm using the super fun Wish Upon a Star set for today's card.

I started with my background panel and did some ink smooshing with some of my new Distress Oxide inks. I used brown, red, orange and yellow to get the layered look. I love that even when adding brown in, you can still see the other colors.

I then heat embossed the large sentiment from the Wish Upon a Star stamp set with gold embossing powder. I then die cut the panel with the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle dies and added it with foam tape.

That background looks like it is amazing. Wish I could see a teensy bit more of it, but the colors look wonderful together. Even though I wish I could see more, I love that I can't because you've showcased the wonderful sentiment stamp beautifully. I can hear Jiminy singing that song! Your embossing of this looks terrific. Wonderful work, Alanna. Hope you have a happy Friday and a wonderful weekend! Hugs!

Oh my stars (literally and figuratively!)! I love this Jiminy Cricket quotation...it's heart-warming and powerful (and yes, I do wish on the stars...). This, embossed on kraft, placed atop your lovely oxide ink panel, has captured my heart. In love...completely! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
