May Release Day #2 for Clearly Whimsy Stamps

Tuesday, May 10, 2016

Welcome back today friends. For Day 2 of the May release from Clearly Whimsy Stamps, we are introducing Punny Message, Sweetest Birthday and the super fabulous and versatile Shaker Builder Die.

For my first card, I used the Hand Stitched Border dies and die cut them repeatedly from my card panel. I love that it just leaves you that fabulous stitching lines. I then did a bit of ink blending.  The birthday die and cupcake come from the Shaker Builder Die set and the sentiment is from the Sweetest Birthday set.

For my second card, I stamped several candles from the previously released Happy Everything set. I then stamped over top of them with sentiments from the Sweetest Birthday set.

I used the Pierced Border Trio die set to add just a bit of pierced detail just above and below where my candles were. After I added the pierced detail, I added my candle piece using some foam tape. I finished off the card with some twine and rounded corners.

Both of these cards look fabulous. I like those wavy stitched lines throughout the background and your ink blending. Such a great look for a card! The cupcake looks yummy and that sentiment really stands out. Your second card is really fun. Great bold birthday candles. I like how you added the dotted line detail above and below. And stamping the happy birthday onto the candles is a neat idea. Two great cards, Alanna!!:)

I have the Happy Everything set and rarely seem to use the candles but you've definitely inspired me to get them inky Alanna. What a great idea to put the sentiment over the top. And love how you've used those stitched lines on the first card - I feel a CASE coming on....
