Hippo Birdie to You

Monday, May 4, 2015

Happy Monday friends. I busted out my Copic markers for today's card. I colored a few of these super cute hippos before I got one that I was happy enough with. I wish I was to the point where coloring came easy for me but it's a struggle which is why I don't do it very often.  I suppose I need to just make myself sit down and color more often, which is how this image came to be.

I added some dot detail to my hippo ala Nichol Magouirk. The patterned papers are from a Lawn Fawn paper pad. The little bird got a generous dose of my clear wink of stella pen. Other than that, not much else to say about my card.

As always, I truly appreciate you stopping by and for those of you who leave comments, an extra shout out.

I'll be linking this up to the anything goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge blog.

I'm sure the other hippos looked great as well, but I really do like this one. I don't do well coloring much unless they're flowers...but I'm trying to work on it also.
