Happy Mother's Day with Distress Paints

Wednesday, May 20, 2015

Here is one of the mother's day cards I sent out this year. I played around with some distress paints for the first time. My entire card panel is popped up on some fun foam.

It's been very rainy and cloudy here in the normally sunshiny state of Colorado. Great for our grass but not so good for my soul.  I hope you are having a wonderful day. Crafty hugs!

Oooh those paints look fun. I really like the colorful background you created, Alanna. The focal piece looks wonderful, too. Well done! I hear you about the rain and general gloomy skies. I really wish CA could get some of this moisture to ease their drought. I hope end of school year outdoor activities won't be adversely affected by the rain! I remember several years ago another May where we hardly saw the sun and it did affect my mood then. We could use a sunshine break for sure!

Hi Alanna, I love this card! The combination of bright, un-tamed splashes of color with the formal scrolls and sentiment are striking and work wonderfully!!!
Nice work!
