Pearls for Penny's Challenge #5

Wednesday, September 2, 2009

Penny's challenge this week is to use pearls. I used my Fiskar's treading water punch on the bottom edge of my paper to give me a nice even spot for me to add my adhesive backed pearls. I love the look that it gives. It's hard to tell but I also added those same pearls to the bodies of each butterfly. I also decided to emboss my sentiment to really make it pop against the cardstock. I have a feeling that I'm going to be bringing out the embossing powders and heat gun again real soon.

***Supplies***
Patterned paper: PTI In Bloom
Stamps: PTI Everyday Button Bits
Other: Fiskars punch, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, CTMH adhesive backed pearls, white embossing powder

I hope you'll head over to Penny's challenges and see what the rest of the design team has come up with. You won't be disappointed. And then come play yourself. I'd love to see how you use pearls.

I can't find my pearls, I needed them for another challenge too! I'll have to wait until we go into the city again or figure out how to make faux pearls?????? I'm sure someone has done that somewhere in blogland! lol
take care
