Inspired by Sarah

Friday, July 3, 2009

I'm finally feeling a bit better now. I've been very lazy at night this week. We've watched Paul Blart: Mall Cop and Confessions of a Shopaholic. Too very cute movies. Reynna, Devin and I also played some Phase 10, a card game. And then bed at 9:30 each night.

My card today was inspired by this card from the very talented Sarah. I know a lot of my readers also read her blog but in case you haven't stopped by her blog, go now and check it out. You won't be sorry.

Wouldn't this sketch be great for your scraps? I know I'll be doing something like this again. I'm not sure about the placement of my buttons. However, there's no going back now because the glue dots are very sticky and leave a residue behind that I don't think I could get off if I wanted to. Also, the buttons didn't photograph very well. They match the chocolate paper much better.

***Supplies***
Cardstock: Kraft
Patterened Paper: PTI Friends til the End
Stamps: CTMH Say it in Style
Other: PTI buttons, CTMH waxy flax

Does anyone have big plans for the holiday weekend? I'm not sure what we have going on. We're going to cheer on our friend tomorrow who will be walking a 1 mile race. After spending the last 15-20 years in a wheelchair, he's walking now. Albeit, very slowly, and with the help of a cane or walker, but he is doing it. After that, who knows for us. We'll probably hit the Greeley Stampede in town, which is a large fair and rodeo event with lots of yummy fair food and rides that make you sick.

Love your card, Alanna! I saw Sarah's card, too, and there will probably be at least one more take on this sketch as well at some point during the next couple of days.

I'm glad you are feeling better. Taking it easy for a few days probably helped. Enjoy the weekend! It sounds like you have some fun options.

I am glad you're feeling better. And I have to say, I got a little chuckle from your comment about 'the rides that make you sick'. LOL! Have a great weekend.

Love your card....It is really cute. Glad you are feeling better. Although it isn't holiday in Canada, we celebrated Canada on Wed. We took our family and some family friends came with us to Calaway park - an amusement park just outside of Calgary. The kids all had a blast - 7 kids ranging from 2-9.....There was something for everyone and NO ONE was cranky - not even the adults.
