For my aunt

Monday, October 6, 2008

My very wonderful Aunt Carla has been battling cancer for a few years now. I wanted to make her a special card to send to her. This card was inspired from Lisa which can be found here. The stems are not how I envisioned they would be and the sweet leaf ink is a bit lost on the kraft cardstock. I couldn't find any more pronounced stems in my stamp collection. GASP. I'll be sending it to her this week. For the buttons, I did as Lisa did and used CTMH's clear buttons with hollyhock cardstock on the back attached with liquid glass. A sentiment from one of my favorite stamp sets, CTMH's May SOM from this past year finishes it off.

I love it! I think it's perfecto! Guess what? I cleaned my scrapbook room this past weekend and actually did a page yesterday!!! I feel so lost trying to do stuff though without you next door and of course without all of your supplies!! HE HE HE!! So I'm thinking for Christmas you should get me a Cuttlebug. Whatcha think?

I'm so excited for you that you did a page and went down to your room. I told you that you guys should never have moved away. Move back and my supplies are just a wall away. Or we could knock out a portion and connect the houses like we had talked about. :) I definitely think that someone NEEDS to get you a cuttlebug for sure. It will be my quest to make sure that you have one. Maybe not by me, but by someone.
