Whimsy Stamps New Release - Lots of Foiled Butterflies

Sunday, March 20, 2022

Hi friends. I am so excited to share with you these cards today as they use brand new foil plates from Whimsy Stamps - Butterflies. The best part about these plates is that they coordinate with the previously released Butterflies die set that came out to coordinate with the Butterflies stamp set. So if you have those products in your stash already, then you're good to go.

Here's a quick walkthrough of all the new products along with some inspiration along the way from Lisa.

For my first card, I took a piece of black card stock and die cut it using the Lattice A2 die. I then adhered the die cut to a black A2 notecard. I used Rainbow foil to foil the Butterflies hot foil plates and then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I added them to my card base and then took the Cutie ABC die set and die cut my sentiment. I adhered the letters to the bottom right of the card and then added some Glossy Accents to give this shine and dimension. I just love how this turned out.

For my next set of cards, I made them the same, just used different colors of card stock and foil. I again took the Lattice A2 die and die cut it once from black and once from white card stocks. I then adhered that to pieces of pink and gold glitter paper which were trimmed down slightly smaller than A2 notecards.

I foiled the largest butterfly from the Butterflies hot foil plates with pink and rainbow foil. I added the butterflies to my cards and then finished them off by adding stamped and die cut sentiments. These are from the new Sympathy Silhouette stamp set and its coordinating dies. You'll see more from this set later in the week from me.

I hope you've been inspired. And if you are not a fan of butterflies, then I'm sorry. :) I foiled probably 50 butterflies and have used them on several upcoming projects. And I still have a ton left over to use in future card projects.

Before you go, here is some inspiration from the rest of the team.
