Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters for Spellbinders

Wednesday, January 19, 2022

Hi friends! I am back with a fun interactive card today featuring the Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters 5x7 Card Base die set from Spellbinders. This die set is brilliant and lets you create this fun shutter card with minimal effort.

I followed the directions on the Spellbinders page here to create the shutter mechanism. The directions are in a pdf format with pictures and are very easy to follow. It's then just a matter of decorating as you see fit. I used one of the decorative dies in the set to add detail over my shutters on the front of the card. I stamped the perimeter of my card base with a wood plank background stamp from my stash. I then took some aqua ink and blended over top of it.

When the shutters are open, it reveals three butterflies along with supporting sentiments. At the bottom of the card, I stamped the Sending You. This isn't visible when the shutters are closed as you can see from the first photo. These sentiments are from the awesome October 2021 stamp of the month set which is still available. The set has 3 large words with a gorgeous fount and then a ton of small supporting sentiments.

Thank you for stopping by today. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Wow, this is fun, Alanna! I like the elegance of the front of the card and that woodgrain paper is fabulous. Then to see the lovely butterflies...love it! Thanks for sharing!
