Slimline Scallop Pocket Card

Wednesday, October 27, 2021

Hi friends and happy Wednesday.  I'm back with a card that I made for a previous release at Whimsy Stamps but haven't had a chance to share yet. It features the super fun and versatile Slimline Scalloped Edge Pocket die.

I started by taking a piece of patterned paper from the Bizzy Bees paper collection and added it to my white card base leaving a thin white border.  I then die cut both pieces of the Slimline Scalloped Edge Pocket die from some white card stock. I love that the smaller portion can be cut with or without the butterfly insert.

I cut it with the butterflies. I backed that portion with more of the same paper I used before. I adhered this to my pocket which I formed and added to my card base.

I then took the largest portion of the Slimline Scalloped edge Pocket die and die cut it again from some yellow card stock. This time, I trimmed it down up until the inner stitched line.

I stamped one of the images from the Hap-Bee Birthday set and colored it in with my Copic markers. I finished this part off by stamping a sentiment which is also from the Hap-Bee Birthday set.

This piece is now perfectly sized to tuck into the pocket and makes for a fun surprise for the recipient.

I hope you've enjoyed this card today. Thanks for your visit. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

That's a pretty sweet pocket card, Alanna. I like the butterflies! And the bees sure are cute, too. Clever way to showcase the pocket, too. Thanks for sharing. :) Crafty hugs!
