Hi friends. I am super excited to share my cards today with you because they feature some amazing new Slimline paper from the latest release at Whimsy Stamps that just were released a couple of days ago- the Slimline Enchanted Kingdom collection. There are 15 different designs, some vertical and some are horizontal, and you get two of each pattern.
I love that these papers along with others that Whimsy has recently come out with make it so you don't have to be a coloring goddess to create an amazing scene for your stamped images.
For my first card, I paired one of the papers with the awesome new Build-a-Castle die collection. This is a large die collection with so many bits and pieces that will let you build a castle in so many different configurations.
I constructed my castle out of this sparkly card stock. I double up some of the layers and added foam tape in between for added dimension. The dragon is also part of the die collection and I cut it once from grey card stock and then another time from another pattern from the same paper collection that the pink glitter card stock comes in. I offset the die cuts a bit to give a shadowed look.
I finished off the card by stamping the sentiments from the new Princess Dragons set.
For my second card, I used another one of the patterns from the Slimline Enchanted Kingdom paper collection. I was thinking what I could use to go with this paper and then remembered the fun Dracula image from the Dracula I Compel You stamp set that was released a couple of years ago.
And then what was even better was that there was the perfect sentiment in that set with the "you want to buy me shiny things". I thought that went absolutely perfectly with the jewels and trinkets shown on the far right side of the paper.
I stamped, quickly colored and then cut out the image and then stamped the sentiments. I decided the scene needed something else so I stamped the two different bat images from the same Dracula I Compel You set as well to round it all out.
Here is some inspiration from the rest of the Creative Team at Whimsy Stamps.
I hope you've been inspired today. As always, I appreciate you so very much for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
