2 Bold and Graphic Slimline Cards

Sunday, April 18, 2021

Hi friends and happy Friday. I have two slimline cards to share with you today that both use the same exact supplies. They use the brand new Slimline Zig Zag Edger dies and FaDoodle Flowers, illustrated by the fabulous Faye Wynn-Jones, and also the previously released Bold ABC die set.

I started by die cutting the three dies in the Slimline Zig Zag Edger dies all at once. They are held together with tabs and I decided to keep them tabbed together because it makes for interesting cuts besides the three die cuts you would normally get.

I cut the dies from varying shades of pink and red card stock. I adhered them to a thin piece of white card stock and then adhered that to a piece of black card stock leaving a thin border on all 4 sides. I then adhered each of the panels to a slimline size white card base.

I then got to work on stamping and cutting out lots of the floral images from the new FaDoodle Flowers set. I absolutely love the hand drawn look to these. I wanted to keep these in black and white so that they would pop against my colorful background. I arranged them on my card panels, adhering some directly to the card base and also popping some up with foam tape.

I then took the Bold ABC die set which is the perfect alphabet die set in my opinion and die cut the letters I needed for my sentiments. I did this twice so I could stack my letters 2 high for a little extra dimension.

Do you have a favorite out of the two cards? I can't decide if I like the one larger cluster of flowers better or the two smaller clusters framing the sentiment. Either way, I love them both and love the new products.

Thanks so much for your visit. I hope you have an amazing day. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Lovely pair of cards, Alanna. I like the bold, graphic look of die cut the stripes and the sentiment. The flowers look really nice, too. Great job. :)
