2 Ha-Bee Birthday Cards

Monday, August 17, 2020

Hello friends and happy Monday. I am sharing 2 fun cards featuring the Hap-Bee Birthday set from Whimsy Stamps.

For my first card, I took some yellow water color and added it to a piece of watercolor card stock that I had trimmed out with the largest die from the Zig Zag Rectangles die collection.  I dried my card stock in between the layers so I could get the look I was going for.

I sat this aside to dry and then stamped out one of the adorable bee images from the Hap-Bee Birthday set.  I colored it in and trimmed it out. If you look close, you can see that I added some sparkle to the bees' wings.

I then took one of the sentiments in the set and stamped it directly onto my water colored background. I finished off the card by stamping the fun heart trail image underneath my sentiment.

For my second card, I started by die cutting the Peekaboo Window 4 die twice - once from white card stock and once from a piece of patterned paper from the Giraffe 6x6 paper collection. I inlaid all the blue patterned papers inside the original white die cut frame.

I stamped the same sentiment I used on my first card in one of the squares and then stamped out one of the single bee images from the Hap-Bee Birthday set twice. I once again colored the images and trimmed them out. I adhered them to my card and then stamped a couple of the swirly trail images to finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you are doing well. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
