A fun Camping Scene Card

Friday, March 6, 2020

Hi friends and welcome back to my blog.  I hope you are doing well.  I have a fun card to share with you today that would definitely work as a great masculine card, which I find are always more difficult to create.

I started by taking the new Criss Cross Gingham background stamp from Whimsy Stamps and I stamped it directly onto my card base using this ink.

I then stamped the new Campsite image from Whimsy Stamps with the same brown ink, which is alcohol marker friendly. I love I can color with my alcohol markers using an ink that is not black.

I did some simple coloring on the image.  Because there is so much detail to the image, the coloring can be quite plain and easy.

After my scene was colored, I die cut it using one of the dies from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies. I then chopped off the left and right sides so that the stitching detail was just a the top and bottom of my scene.

I mounted my stamped and colored panel onto a piece of brown card stock and then added it with foam tape on top of my stamped card base. I rounded the bottom corners for a softened look and this card is complete.

I hope you've been inspired. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
