Hi friends. I have a fun card to share with you today for a new feature over at the Whimsy Stamps blog, Fresh Friday. We will be revisiting some older products. Click here for the fun blog post on the Whimsy Stamps blog with all the details. You can also click here to see the 6 products that will be featured this Friday and next.
For my card today, I started by taking the Brick Pattern Stencil and blending on 3 different shades of pink ink going from light to dark. For my ink blending, I used the new Pink and Main Ergonomic Blending Brush. I am in love with this tool.
I then took the straight stitched die from the Stitched Border Trio dies and ran it through my die cutting machine on either side of my stenciled background for added interest. I also added some water droplets to my background.
I then took a piece of white card stock and blended on some Hickory Smoke Distress ink to resemble a sidewalk. I then die cut it using another one of the dies from the Stitched Border Trio dies.
I then got to work by stamping some of the images from the super cute Hugs Bunny set. I just love the two bunnies hugging. I colored them in with Copic markers and then cut them out.
I figured out where I wanted my sentiment to go, which is also from the Hugs Bunny set, and stamped it with black ink onto my stenciled background.
I added my images and then decided the card needed just a little something extra so I took the heart trio image from the Hugs Bunny set and colored them in with a light pink Copic marker.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have an amazing day. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
