For my first card today, I am using the beyond adorable Spot On stamp set from the Polkadoodles line. This little guy is just too cute and I love how big he is.
I started by stamping him in black ink along with the sentiment. I then stamped some of the leaf images from both the Spot On set and the Beary Great Day set around the perimeter of the card.
Everything was colored in with my Copic markers. So when I was almost done coloring everything, I was working on the top little tuft on the sweet giraffe when my marker decided to gloop all over leave a little puddle. :(
Some quick thinking led to stamping and fussy cutting one of the leaf images and adding it over top to hide the gloop. I added a couple more popped up leaves as well.
For my second card today, I used several of the new dies including the Here Comes the Sun, In a Cloudy Sky and Lil' Pink Houses.
I started out by die cutting the Lil' Pink Houses die. I then ran it through using the largest die from the new Scalloped Rectangle Frame set. I did this because I wanted the borders to match up with my patterned paper from Puddle Jumper that I also die cut using this fun new die.
I love how some of the doors and windows open up for added dimension. I colored them in with Copic markers. The sun and clouds were die cut and I added some color with a blending brush. I absolutely love the stitched detail on these die cuts.
The sentiment is from a retired LDRS Creative set, So Happy.
