Hi friends. I am so sorry that I have been absent for the last month. Between family issues, an extra heavy work load and just general tiredness, I haven't been able to blog. But I'm back today and hope to be posting back on a regular basis.
I have two cards to share with you today for Whimsy Stamps. I've always loved the Circles, Circles, Circles stamp set and had fun pairing it today with a rainbow background that I created with my Copic markers.
I first took a piece of Neenah card stock and a few colors of Copic markers. I used the chisel end of my Copic marker to add color to the background. I started at the top with the red and then worked my way down. I went back and forth several times to get a better blend and transition between the colors.
After my panel was complete, I let it dry and then stamped several of the circles from the Circles, Circles, Circles stamp set with a crisp black ink. I left a spot for my sentiment which I white heat embossed. It is from the Bold Statements stamp set. I ran the panel through my die cutting machine with the largest die from the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle dies. Some clear gems finish off the card.
For my second card, I was still in a rainbow mood. This time, instead of Copic markers, I used colored card stock to create my rainbow background.
I started by die cutting several strips of the card stock and added them to a piece of copy paper for the backing. I then took my rainbow panel and heat embossed the beautiful Butterfly Background stamp from Whimsy Stamps. I used a pearl embossing powder.
After my image was embossed, I added the panel onto a piece of black card stock to help make it pop. I stamped the sentiment onto one of the Quick Strips die collection popped up with some foam tape. I finished off the card with a few clear sequins.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you are having a terrific day. Crafty hugs!

Oh Alanna, believe me! I know how it goes. I hope work has lightened up a bit for you and that the family thing is settling down. Maybe I'll be able to blog again in a week or so. Your cards are beautiful. The rainbow theme is so pretty. That first card looks neat with the Copic colors. Those circles really pop! So cool and a great sentiment. That second card looks gorgeous with the embossing. Wow! Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you have a lovely Mother's Day! Big hugs!
