Warm Winter Wishes with Alcohol Inked Backgrounds

Friday, January 11, 2019

Hi friends and happy Friday. I hope you have had a good week so far.  I have two cards to share with you today using fun products from Whimsy Stamps and some alcohol inks.

I began by creating my backgrounds on some Yupo paper with various shades of blue and purple alcohol inks. I absolutely love these backgrounds so much and just how fun it is to sit and create them.

After my panels were dry, I took the Snow Dangle stencil and laid it over my panel. For my first card, I used some silver glitter paste and adhered it over the stencil.

I finished off the card with a die cut snowflake (a retired die from Whimsy Stamps) along with a sentiment from the Holiday Mini Sentiments set.  I die cut it using one of the dies from the brand new Quick Strips die collection.

My second card is absolutely the same except that I used the Moonstone Glitter Paste from Tonic.

A big thank you for stopping by today. I hope you've been inspired. Crafty hugs!

Oh gosh, Alanna! These are gorgeous. I love the mix of colors in the alcohol inks you used! So pretty! And the sparkle from the glittery embossing and the silver snowflake is so fun, too. Thanks so much for sharing!

It's brilliant! A friend sent me some Yupo paper to try as I've been using acetate and it's OK, but not brilliant. xx
