Stained Glass Christmas Tree for Whimsy Stamps

Monday, December 3, 2018

Hi friends. I have a card to share with you today using the gorgeous Stained Glass Christmas Tree image from Whimsy Stamps along with a great sentiment set, Holiday Mini Sentiments.

Whimsy Stamps has a large lineup of these gorgeous stained glass images. Click here to see all of them.

For my card today, I started by stamping the Stained Glass Christmas Tree onto a piece of white card stock. You can see that this is quite a large image and covers the entire front of an A2 card. I did trim my panel down slightly so I could mat it on some black card stock.

I colored the image very simply with some Copic markers, just adding a touch of shading to the tree. After my coloring was done, I added some glossy accents to the star of the tree along with all of the individual little circles in the background. I also took my clear Wink of Stella marker and added shimmer to the white portions of the background.

Scroll down for a better photo showing these details.

To finish off the card, I stamped my sentiment from the Holiday Mini Sentiments stamp set.

Here's a closeup that where you can see the shine from the Glossy Accents on the star and the shimmer on the white portions of the image.

Thanks so much for visiting today. All supplies are linked below.

These stained glass window stamps are astounding! I love how they look, but I'm not sure I can picture myself doing all that coloring. Your tree looks great! I love the glossy accents!

Wow, this is so pretty, Alanna! I like how you kept the focus on the tree, although I can see how fabulous it might look all colored in, too. Great use of the sparkle and shine, too. :)

Oh that's lovely and really very classy, just leaving the tree coloured so you are drawn to it. Perfect! xx
