50th Anniversary Card with The Ton

Monday, October 8, 2018

Good morning friends. Awhile back we were invited to a 50th wedding anniversary for the parents of some friends so I thought I would make a special card.

I started by heat embossing the Sunflower Border image from The Ton with platinum embossing powder.  I then took the coordinating die and cut out the center.

I then die cut the 50 multiple times from black card stock. It doesn't look very good in the photos but I added a lot of a clear shimmer pen on the top layer for added sparkle and shine.

I wanted to finish off the inside with my sentiment so I pulled out an old retired MFT stamp set and heat embossed the sentiments.

What a beautiful and elegant anniversary card. I can see that the 50 is really sparkly. I'll bet the happy couple was touched by your thoughtfulness. 50 years together is an amazing accomplishment!
