It's been too Long

I have to tell you how much fun I had making this card. This stamp set from MFT is just adorable as can be. I first started by stenciling in the leaves on the background. I did this by die cutting the Wild Greenery dies intact -- I had not separated them. I used the negative portion as my stencil and took two colors of green inks to get a bid of shading and variation.  I then added some shading to the positive pieces of the greenery dies.

I colored the cute giraffe with my Copic markers and then fussy cut him out.  The giraffe is popped up on some foam tape for extra dimension. I love the sentiment and can't wait to send this to a long-distance friend.

Thanks so much for stopping by today friends. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Fantastic idea on how to create the background, Alanna. It looks awesome. So do the leaves that you die cut. I adore that giraffe, too. All together a fabulous card! :)

That is too darned cute! I love the greenery behind him - the two colours of green really does add some extra dimension to it. Xx
