I'm happy to have Ellie from My Creative Moments as a new follower to my blog. Ellie's cards feature a lot of images to be colored which she does beautifully.
My card today features a couple newly released stamp sets from Clearly Whimsy Stamps -- Christmas Greetings and Sparkle and Shine. I was inspired by this card from Nichol.
It is also for the new challenge at showCASe your style. This challenge is sponsored by Clearly Whimsy Stamps although you don't have to use their stamps to play along. However, if you do, the prize jumps from a $10 gift certificate to a $15 gift certificate. Aren't these colors just beautiful together? I want to play some more with this color combo.
I started out by stamping my sentiment to get its placement. The Christmas portion is embossed with some gold embossing powder. I then stamped several of the snowflake images in pigment inks in both gold and white. Since I used pigment inks, they stayed wet a bit longer and I was then able to use clear embossing powder over all the snowflakes.
I finished off the card by rounding the bottom corners and adding some adhesive pearls to all the large gold snowflakes.
