Thankful to call you my Friend

Friday, April 19, 2013

Happy Friday friends. I used the gorgeous papers from the Unforgettable Collectable pad from My Mind's Eye. I chose to work with a big bold print to cover my card base.

I die cut the word thankful once in a yellow pattern from the pad.  I decided that there wasn't enough contrast so I cut the die again, this time in white card stock, and layered it to create a bit of a shadow effect.

It's been a busy week with work, church activities and some extra responsibilities I'm taking on.  I hope you are all doing well.  See you back here on Sunday for my weekly Christmas card.

Beautiful card, Alanna. That paper is just lovely and I really like the double cut 'thankful.' Before I forget again, I also wanted to let you know that the changes you have made to your blog look terrific!

I love that the background for this floral is brown, it just pops the blues, yellows and pinks so perfectly. your offset diecut sentiment is perfect and i love that striped panel...and enamel dots?! love 'em!

Super card--I love how you highlighted that pretty patterned paper--and I am in love with your stitching. I always swoon when I see stitching, because I am 'sewing challenged' would be the polite way to say it.
