Christmas Card Challenges #19 -- Vintage

Sunday, April 7, 2013

This week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges was a bit of a toughie for me.  It's to make a vintage holiday or Christmas card.  I've never been able to do vintage so I found a piece of patterned paper that I thought would work and then left it pretty simple.

A fun border die and then some felt letters cut from dies finish off the card.

Will you give this challenge a chance? Are you good at making vintage cards?  I know a lot are and I adore the look. I'll be stalking the challenge blog to see the entries linked up to give me some ideas for the next time I venture out and make a more vintage card.

I think you did very well, for it not being something you are used to creating. That vintage paper is really nice! Good luck on incorporating the look into some of your future projects!

I agree, it turned out great Alanna! I too find it not-so-easy to create vintage...I've seen so many pretty ones lately, but I seem to get so hung-up on my usual style. Time to step out of the comfort-zone, right? LOL, anyway...yours really is perfect!

I am not good at vintage either, but I think you really nailed it. That paper is so pretty and perfect, you really didn't need much more.
