Happy Birthday

Friday, September 11, 2009

My card today is for several challenges. The challenge over at Pile it On this week is to make something birthday related, and as always, combine it with another challenge. 2RedBananas wants to see stripes and dots. There's not a lot of these but both can be found on some of my patterned paper. This week's challenge at Practical Scrappers is to use your basic punches. I used my 1 1/4 inch punch for the squares. The challenge at ABC Challenge is D is for die cuts. I also found a new challenge, Polka Doodles, whose challenge was also to use spots and stripes. I used I also used this week's Card Patterns sketch.

Card size is 4x4. Also, if you look close, you can see that I used my most favorite swiss dots embossing folder on the scalloped pink mat. Man, I love that embossing folder.

***Supplies***
Patterned paper: CTMH More to Adore
Stamps: CTMH Happy Birthday, PTI Cupcake Collection
Other: CTMH buttons and waxy flax, Nesties, Cuttlebug

Yeah for Friday. I'll be doing a couple of things for United Way this weekend, including helping out at a Habitat for Humanity house tomorrow. Apparently, we'll be removing siding and windows. Should be fun. Well, have a terrific Friday.
