Hello friends. I'm happy to be sharing some projects made with new stamps and dies from This Calls for Confetti. This release is amazing, and I think you're going to love it. This Calls for Confetti celebrated its second birthday earlier this year and this is its first release with stamps and coordinating dies. I'm so excited for what Lisa has in store for 2024.
For my first card, I decided to create a shaker card. I took the new Elongated Ovals Cover Plate die and die cut it 5 times from black card stock. I adhered those altogether and then added a piece of acetate on top of the top layer. I flipped the die cuts over and then added a bit of the beautiful Honeysuckle mix into each of the wells. Once they were filled, I took another piece of acetate and adhered it to seal everything up.
Side note: This Calls for Confetti carries a package of acetate sheets trimmed down to A2 size. They are so easy to work with and have a protective film on them to protect them from getting scratched. Just make sure to remove the film before use.
I flipped over my panel again and then added one more of the Elongated Ovals Cover Plate die cuts. This time, I die cut it from some specialty black cardstock that has some shimmer to it. I adhered my panel to a white notecard that measures 4.5x 6 inches. I wanted a thin white border surrounding my shaker frame and because the Elongated Ovals Cover Plate die is sized at A2, I needed to make my card a bit bigger.
It was then time to work on the outside of my shaker frame. I took one of the images from the Alice's Story - Honeysuckle set and stamped it with black ink. I did some quick coloring with my Copic markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut it out.
I die cut one more of the floral dies to add stability and dimension to my floral image and adhered it to the outside of my shaker element. I then stamped the sentiment which is from the same Alice's Story - Honeysuckle set and die cut it. I added two pieces of white cardstock behind it and then to help it stand out even more, I took a black marker and went around the edges.
I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for your visit and crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
Ooooh, how lovely, Alanna! What a neat idea for the company to have precut A2 size acetate. Great job on this striking card!
