Whimsy Stamps New Release & 2 Cards

Monday, January 16, 2023

Hello friends. Wow - I didn't mean to be gone so long from my blog. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and holiday season. I'm back now and have lots to share over the next few weeks.

I have two cards to share with you today and they both use the new Give a Sip
stamp set from the latest release at Whimsy Stamps. It has some super cute images and punny sentiments in it.

For my first card, I started by taking the Criss Cross Gingham Background cling stamp and I stamped a piece of white card stock with red ink. I trimmed this down and added it to a piece of black card stock leaving a thin border. I then attached this to my red A2 notecard.

I then took the Selfie die set and die cut the phone image from both white and this Black Glitter foam. I stamped one of the images from the Give a Sip set onto the inner portion and colored it in with my Copic markers. I then added the frame around it. I then took one of the sentiments from the set and stamped it directly over top of my background stamping. I finished off the card by adding in two hearts, one right below the sentiment and the other one on the coffee cup sleeve.

For my second card, I took the Slimline Scallop die and die cut it from some specialty paper from Tonic Studios. I then stamped one of the sentiments in both the upper and lower oval portions. I stamped the same image I used on my first card from the Give a Sip set. I colored it, and fussy cut it out. I added foam tape behind it and then added it to my card. I finished off the card by adding in several red enamel hearts from my stash.

I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for your visit and crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
