Whimsy Stamps New Release & 4 Cards

Monday, December 12, 2022

Hi friends. I'm sorry for my absence from here. Life just gets extra crazy sometimes. :)

A new release just hit the shop at Whimsy Stamps a couple of days ago and I'm using an awesome new word die set from it, the Congratulations Word and Shadow die set

To get started on my first pair of cards, I took one of the patterned papers from the Scribdoodle Critters 6x6 paper collection and die cut them using the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangles die set. I added them to some purple A2 notecards. I then took the new Congratulations Word and Shadow die set and die cut the shadow two times from white card stock and then die cut the top layer from black card stock. I adhered everything together and added it to my cards. I finished off these cards by adding in some purple pearls.

For my second set of cards, I took paper from a retired collection (oops!) and trimmed them down to add onto A2 white notecards. I then die cut just the word portion of the Congratulations Word and Shadow die set both from black and white card stock. I adhered them together, slightly offset to give a shadowed look. I then stamped the sentiment which is from the Bold Statements set and then finished the cards by adding in some black enamel stars.

Here is some inspiration from the team!

This is an extra busy time of year, no worries! Your cards aure are fun. I like the explosion of images on the first pair of cards. They don't overtake the card and allow the die sentiment to stand out. The second pair of cards are a fun bold and vibrant color. Definitely cheery greetings! Thanks for sharing, Alanna. Hope you are enjoying the season!
